Prince Harry wrote letter Charles apologizing for Oprah interview ahead of UK return

According to a royal expert, Prince Harry sent a letter to his father, Charles, to explain his conduct and apologize for his contentious interview with Oprah.

Their relationship had “hit rock bottom” in the aftermath of Harry and Meghan Markle’s dramatic tell-all appearance with Oprah Winfrey — all while his grandpa was critically sick in the hospital.

His decision to contact his father occurred after he accused Prince Charles of not returning his phone calls.

“I will always love him. But there’s a lot of hurt that’s happened and I will continue to make it one of my priorities to try and heal that relationship,” he said.

According to sources close to the Duke, he has been “forced to write letters” after a “complete communication breakdown” with his father.

The writings, he “outlined his reasons for leaving”, while pledging to “respect the institution.”

However, the Prince of Wales is still “very hurt” by Harry and Meghan’s choice to participate in the contentious interview, which aired while Prince Philip was in the hospital, and the couple have yet to repair their broken relationship.

The interview caused divisions in their family and has left their relationship “extremely frosty.”

These revelations surfaced on the Channel 5 documentary, Charles & Harry: Father and Son Divided, when Mail on Sunday royal journalist Emily Andrews said that shortly after the bombshell interview, Harry wrote a letter to Charles partially “apologizing for Oprah” and partly explaining why he and Meghan went for the interview.

“Truth be told, Harry didn’t really know what to expect before he came home, which is why he reached out before seeing everyone,” a royal source revealed.

Prince Harry claimed he felt “very let down” by his father who “cut him off” financially after he and his wife moved to the US.

When asked about his relationship with Prince Charles, Harry said that they have resumed communication, adding, ‘There’s a lot to work through there, you know? I feel really let down, because he’s been through something similar.

As Prince Charles intends to reduce the size of the Royal Family when he becomes king, rumors indicate he may rule out the possibility of Meghan and Harry’s firstborn, Archie, becoming a Prince. Charles has always been interested in lowering the Firm’s cost to British taxpayers. As a consequence, according to rumors, the first in line to the throne is prepared to brutally strip fringe members of the family of their financial connections to the royal treasury.

“He wrote a deeply personal note to his dad to try and set things straight but tensions are still running high and things haven’t exactly ironed out the way he had hoped.

“There had been a kind of unspoken agreement between everyone to park whatever has been on each person’s mind, and solely concentrate on supporting the Queen ahead of Prince Philip’s funeral.

“The feeling inside the camp was that it wasn’t the time nor the place to go over things, especially at such an emotional time for everybody involved.”

‘He knows what pain feels like, and Archie’s his grandson. I will always love him, but there’s a lot of hurt that’s happened. And I will continue to make it one of my priorities to try and heal that relationship’, Harry said.
