Prince Harry Risks Becoming an International Laughingstock, Claims Late Night Host

Late night host Jimmy Fallon has taken a jab at Prince Harry, suggesting that the Duke of Sussex is at risk of becoming an international laughingstock.

This comes after Prince Harry’s revealing interviews with Anderson Cooper on 60 Minutes and Tom Bradby on British Network ITV, as part of his publicity for his memoir Spare.

In these interviews, Prince Harry continued to criticize the British royal family, following his initial candid revelations in a 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey.

Fallon couldn’t resist poking fun at Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle’s numerous public disclosures during the opening monologue of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

During the monologue, Fallon referred to Prince Harry’s appearance on the 60-minute interview with Anderson Cooper, playfully highlighting the contrast between Prince Harry’s ginger hair and Cooper’s distinct white hair.

He drew a parallel to the popular book series “A Song of Fire and Ice,” which inspired the HBO series Game of Thrones.

Fallon humorously mentioned that the 60-minute interview was a great opportunity for those who may have missed Prince Harry and Meghan’s two-hour sit-down interview with Oprah in the six-part Netflix documentary, “Harry and Meghan.”

He also joked about Meghan’s supposed desire to appear on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

Interestingly, back in November, Meghan Markle fans were left confused when NBC posted an announcement on its website stating that Meghan would appear on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on December 7th.

However, the broadcaster later removed the announcement, admitting their mistake.

Omid Scobie, a well-known royal commentator, took to Twitter to deny the claim, expressing his frustration with NBC’s blunder.

This isn’t the first time Meghan Markle’s potential appearances on The Tonight Show have caused confusion.

Earlier this year, Meghan canceled an appearance scheduled for September 20th, following the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

The cancellation also coincided with Meghan and Harry’s plans to attend the UN General Assembly in Manhattan.

In a throwback to 2018, Fallon mentioned an amusing moment during a previous appearance on The Tonight Show, when actor Paul Bettany jokingly suggested that Meghan Markle might be a sleeper agent for the US government.

Bettany playfully pointed to Meghan’s father, Thomas Markle, and teased about conspiracy theories involving the CIA and Piers Morgan.

Fallon is not the only media personality in the US who has made jokes at Prince Harry’s expense.

Last week, Jimmy Kimmel recreated the alleged fight between Prince Harry and Prince William, dressing them up as the singer Prince in a sketch titled “Two Princes.”

Prince Harry’s recent interviews and the subsequent comedic response from late-night hosts have sparked discussions and reactions among the public.

While some find the humor entertaining, others question the appropriateness of mocking a member of the royal family.

As Prince Harry continues to share his story through various platforms, the debate surrounding his public disclosures shows no signs of slowing down.
