Prince Harry loses diplomatic immunity ahead of Philip’s funeral
Prince Harry’s diplomatic immunity was reportedly revoked the moment he arrived in the UK for Prince Philip’s funeral, allegedly due to concerns about his ‘special treatment’.
Chris Ship, the host of ITV’s Royal Rota, made the claim when speaking to his viewers, saying, “Harry will have to do the whole quarantine thing.”
“We thought that he could have gotten away with some diplomatic immunity. But I think he isn’t because of all the messaging around this. They don’t want to be seen to be getting any special treatment .”
“If you take two tests, one on arrival and one on day five, and they’re both negative, you do get released from quarantine. So he should, all things being well, be released for the funeral on Saturday.”
According to People, Prince Harry is quarantining at Frogmore Cottage, the Sussexes’ home in the United Kingdom, ahead of his grandfather Prince Philip’s funeral on Saturday. On Sunday, Harry arrived in London from California and proceeded to Windsor, where Frogmore Cottage is.

Princess Eugenie, her partner Jack Brooksbank, and their new son August, Harry’s cousins, moved into Frogmore Cottage at the Sussexes’ invitation. Prior to Philip’s funeral, he is observing UK coronavirus procedures, which involve quarantining at home and taking routine COVID-19 checks.
Although most visitors to the United Kingdom are expected to spend 10 days in quarantine upon entry, those attending a funeral are excluded on “compassionate grounds.”
Prince Harry will return to the United States shortly after his grandfather Prince Philip’s death, since he does not want to be split from his pregnant partner, Meghan Markle, for an extended period of time, according to various reports.
After the service on Saturday, the Duke of Sussex does not want to stay in the UK for long.
On doctor’s advice, his partner, who is expecting their daughter in the early summer, was barred from joining him. PageSix learned that Harry will return to California as soon as possible to be reunited with Markle and their young son, Archie.
