Monarchy’s Fury: Sussex’s Relationship with Royals Hits Rock Bottom

Less than two months away from King Charles III’s coronation, the ongoing feud between the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the rest of the royal family continues to raise questions about its impact on the historic occasion.

With a trail of destruction left behind by Harry and Meghan, one would think they would be eager to accept an invitation to witness King Charles’s crowning moment.

However, reports suggest that the Sussexes have issued a list of demands, further fueling tensions.

To de-escalate the situation, freezing out the Sussexes seems to be the best solution.

If King Charles wants his son and daughter-in-law to attend, their ultimatum includes a private apology during a meeting with Charles and William, as well as a place on the balcony of Buckingham Palace.

While excluding Harry and Meghan might have been understandable, the royals have expertly played their hand, refusing to be dragged into the gutter.

Some argue that a reconciliation between King Charles and Prince Harry is crucial for the monarchy’s future.

Nevertheless, regardless of the implications, the ongoing feud will undoubtedly affect the celebration of Charles’s official ascension to the throne.

It is clear that Harry and Meghan should not be on the balcony, as the majority of people in the UK would rather not see them there.

Perhaps deep down, the Sussexes themselves do not truly wish to attend.

Despite their constant preaching about kindness, service, and forgiveness, Harry and Meghan never accept fault or admit wrongdoing.

It may be best for them to stay in America and live a happy life there.

Their actions have turned their backs on the royal family, the country, and its people.

In fact, most people in the UK would be delighted if they did not show up at all, and their reception would likely be far from warm.

According to a survey conducted by OnePoll, over 1 in 5 Britons would be less inclined to watch the coronation, and 12% would definitely not want to watch if Meghan and Harry were present.

As the Sussexes continue to distance themselves from the royal family, they must vacate the grace and favor home granted to them by the Queen before the coronation.

This marks the final parting of ways, and it will be particularly damaging for them considering their lucrative contracts with Netflix and Spotify, which rely heavily on their royal status.

However, they may try to retaliate through a four-book deal with Random House.

This move has been used as a threat against the royal family multiple times, starting with Harry’s memoir and rumors of Meghan producing her own book.

Most recently, there was even talk of extending the paperback version of Harry’s memoir.

The Sussexes have demanded discussions with senior royals and an apology for their treatment during their time as senior working royals.

Such a demand could potentially serve as a launching pad for Meghan’s political career in the future, allowing her to claim she humbled the world’s most highly-profiled monarchy.

However, it is unlikely that they will receive the apology they seek.

While their future plans remain uncertain, one thing is clear: their involvement in royal life will be limited to the periphery.
