Meghan ‘upset’ that no one in the royal family has contacted her after Oprah interview

After the bombshell Oprah interview broadcast, the Duchess of Sussex is reported to be “upset” that no one from the royal family has reached out to her.

According to a friend, Meghan Markle has yet to speak to anyone in the Royal Family, despite Harry speaking with both his brother and father.

Harry discussed the subjects he and Meghan discussed in the tell-all with Prince William and Prince Charles. But a ccording to Gayle King, the talks “haven’t been productive,” and no one from the royal family has reached out to Meghan yet.

Meghan said in the interview that she had “methodical” thoughts of suicide, but that when she approached senior palace personnel for support, she was dismissed.

Meghan made a number of accusations, including that an unidentified royal had expressed “concerns” over Meghan and Harry’s child’s “skin color.”

In reaction to the interview, Buckingham Palace released a statement on behalf of the Queen, saying that the whole family was “saddened to learn the full extent of how challenging the last few years have been for Harry and Meghan” and that the concerns presented will be “addressed privately by the family.”

Gayle confirmed on CBS This Morning that she talked with Meghan and Harry after the interview broadcast to see how they were doing and that it’s still an uncomfortable moment for everyone concerned.

“I did actually call them to see how they were feeling, and it’s true, Harry has talked to his brother and he has talked to his father too.

“The word I was given was that those conversations were not productive.

“I think what is still upsetting to them is that the palace keeps saying they want to work it out privately, but yet, the false stories are coming out that are disparaging against Meghan still

“No one in the royal family has talked to Meghan yet at this particular time.

Gayle had this to say regarding the royal crisis: “The family has to acknowledge there are issues.

“Right now, no one has acknowledged, Houston we have a problem here. That’s really all they want. They both want a conversation.”

She added: “I have to say Meghan has documents to back up everything that she said on Oprah’s interview.”

What does Gayle suppose Meghan and Harry are thinking now that they’ve said it as it is? “I think it’s frustrating for them to see that it’s a racial conversation about the royal family when all they wanted all along was for the royals to intervene and tell the press to stop with the unfair, inaccurate, false stories that definitely have a racial slant.”

Gayle went on to say, “It’s going to be hard to move forward.”

“They both want to move forward with this and they both want healing in this family. At the end of the day, that’s Harry’s family.”

In one of the more shocking revelations, Harry said that his brother, Prince William, and their father, Prince Charles, were “trapped” by their royal duties.

The Duke of Cambridge was compelled to deny that his family was racist when he visited a school.

The Queen issued a carefully worded statement, stating that the interview had “saddened” her and that “recollections may vary”
