Meghan Markle shares new photo of son Archie during Ellen interview
Meghan Markle has shared a rare picture of Archie, her and Prince Harry’s 2-year-old son. Meghan shared the lovely photo of him standing in his chicken house, “Archie’s Chick Inn,” at their home in Montecito, California, during her first appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show since becoming the Duchess of Sussex.
Archie is dressed in trousers, yellow rain boots, and a long-sleeved shirt, and is holding a basket, likely to collect eggs.
The shot, taken from behind, also shows the two-year-old’s hair, which looks to be the same reddish color as his father, Prince Harry.
“He’s so sweet with the chickens, too,” remarked DeGeneres, who lives next door to Meghan and Harry in Montecito and frequently visits the couple. “Archie is just such a gentle soul.”
‘Aww, thank you,’ Meghan said before admitting that Archie enjoys being a big brother to her daughter Lili.

“He loves being a big brother, but everybody tells you, somebody told H and I, when you have one kid it’s a hobby and two’s parenting, and we realize what it is like for the second child, but no one talks about the adjustment for the first child when the second one comes along, so they had that moment of, ‘This is fun, oh, this is how it is now,'” she said on Thursday’s episode.
Meghan Markle, 40, and Prince Harry, 37, stated during their Oprah interview that they rescued the chickens from a factory farm as part of their new “down to basics” lifestyle after moving to California last year.
Meghan also mentioned Lili’s teething during the appearance, asking, “Anything to relieve that?” before DeGeneres playfully recommended alcohol.
“That’s Auntie Ellen for you,” Meghan added, before Ellen quipped: “That’s why I don’t have kids.”
Meghan revealed Archie’s Halloween costume (he was a dinosaur for “about five minutes” before ripping it off), as well as the fact that he was included in her children’s book, The Bench.
Meghan also said that the youngster also recognized the family’s two dogs (a beagle named Guy and a black Labrador named Pula), who are included in the book.
“On that first page you open and you see our dogs and he goes, ‘That’s Pula! That’s Guy!’ ” she added.
The image is the most recent look at their eldest child, with the duke and duchess recently releasing a photo of Archie on his second birthday in May.
