Leonardo DiCaprio roasted by Ricky Gervais for dating younger women

Ricky Gervais joked about Leonardo DiCaprio’s tendency to date younger women during his Golden Globes opening address.

Gervais considers himself a comic bad boy, and his hosting segments are usually extended roasts of the entire audience.

When Gervais highlighted the Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood star’s fondness for “younger” ladies, it was one of the more jaw-dropping jabs in his speech. The 45-year-old actor is presently dating Camila Morrone, the 22-year-old actress from Mickey and the Bear.

“[The Irishman] wasn’t the only epic movie,” began Gervais. “Once Upon a Time … in Hollywood [is] nearly three hours long. Leonardo DiCaprio attended the premiere, and by the end, his date was too old for him.”

The actor merely laughed it off before Gervais pushed it a step further.

“Even Prince Andrew’s like, ‘Come on, Leo, mate, you’re nearly 50, son’,” referring to the royal’s involvement in the Jeffrey Epstein affair.

Leo had to chuckle at himself since he’d look much worse if he sat there stone-faced, but the true reward goes to the elderly woman sitting next to him who gently nods in agreement when DiCaprio looks to her. You can tell she’s been through a lot.

In December 2019, the model justified their 23-year age difference, telling the Los Angeles Times, “I just think anyone should be able to date who they want to date.”

She also stated that she is aware of the mystery around the relationship and that she “would probably be curious too” if she were on the outside looking in.

However, Morrone isn’t the first 20-year-old Leo has dated.

He was also with Lorena Rae of Victoria’s Secret, Nina Adgal, and Kelly Rohrbach, among others.

Last year, a graph created by Reddit user TrustLittleBrother documenting DiCaprio’s relationship history appears to demonstrate that the actor’s cut-off age for women is 25.

To say the least, DiCaprio’s dating history is well-known. While the actor has always preferred beautiful runway models and A-list actresses—he had previous long-term relationships with models Gisele Bündchen and Bar Refaeli, a brief fling with Blake Lively, and even a hotly rumored encounter with Rihanna—his preference in recent years has shifted to younger women. Gervais is one of the few individuals who hasn’t been afraid to say it in front of DiCaprio.

Hollywood is unconcerned with Leonardo DiCaprio’s dating practices, but it’s about time someone said something. And somewhere, the lady Leo will take to the 2040 Golden Globes as his date is about to be born.

During Gervais’ speech, DiCaprio was far from the only A-lister who came under fire.

“If you win an award tonight, don’t use it as a platform to make a political speech,” Gervais said after trashing the majority of Hollywood.

“You’re in no position to lecture the public about anything. You know nothing about the real world. Most of you spent less time in school than Greta Thunberg.

“So if you win, come up, accept your little award, thank your agent, and your god, and f— off.”
