Kate Winslet, who won an Oscar for her role in Titanic, has spoken about her experience filming lesbian s^x scenes for her upcoming movie Ammonite, in which she stars alongside Saoirse Ronan.

Despite the 18-year age difference between the two actresses, Winslet has praised the opportunity to film a saucy scene with a woman half her age.

She also revealed that the experience made her feel more confident than ever before on screen.

Ammonite tells the story of Mary Anning, an English fossil hunter, and her relationship with a married woman.

The movie has been directed by Francis Lee and is set to have its world premiere next month.

Kate Winslet praised Lee’s work on the explicit scenes, which she described as an opportunity to be her real “40-something self.”

Speaking to the Hollywood Reporter, Winslet said, “I’m nearly 45, and Saoirse is almost half my age.

And to have an opportunity to be my real 40-something self, post-children, you know? I was just excited to say, ‘This is what it is.

This is how I am now, and it’s very much not the body I had 20 years ago’.”

Winslet also discussed her pride in the love scenes she filmed for Ammonite, saying, “I felt the proudest I’ve ever felt doing a love scene on Ammonite. And I felt by far the least self-conscious.”

According to Winslet, the director was “nervous” about filming the explicit scenes, but the actresses choreographed the scene themselves.

The trailer for the movie features a naked scene between the two actresses, as well as kissing scenes.

The movie was filmed before the coronavirus pandemic began and was originally scheduled to be premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in May.

However, the pandemic pushed back the premiere, and it will now be premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival next week.

Despite Winslet’s pride in her work, she has not been immune to controversy in the past.

The s^x scenes in Titanic, in which she co-starred with Leonardo DiCaprio, are still widely discussed today.

In the Hollywood Reporter interview, Winslet did not comment on the controversy surrounding those scenes.

Fans of Winslet and Ronan will have to wait until the movie’s release to see the scenes in question, but the actresses’ enthusiasm for their work is evident.
