Kate Middleton lays flowers for murdered Sarah Everard in emotional visit
During an emotional visit to Sarah Everard’s memorial in South London on Saturday, a maskless Kate Middleton placed daffodils from Kensington Palace, since she recalls what it was like to stroll through London at night, it is believed.
Kate “wanted to pay her respects to the family and to Sarah,” Kensington Palace said in a statement.
The palace said, “She remembers what is was like to walk around London at night before she was married.”
She traveled to Clapham Common, near where the 33-year-old went missing before her corpse was discovered.
The Duchess chose casual clothing and little make-up.

Ms Everard’s corpse was discovered almost 70 miles away in Ashford, Kent, and her identity was verified as that of the missing marketing executive; a serving officer with the Met Police has been arrested for her abduction and murder.
The Reclaim These Streets vigil went ahead today in south London despite the High Court judgment that the Reclaim These Streets protest was “unlawful” owing to Covid-19 limitations.
The majority of people who attended wore masks and remained apart to maintain social distance.
Kate seemed to be alone and unprotected when she paid her respects to Sarah as a woman first and foremost, rather than as a Duchess or the wife of a prince.
She was spotted stopping in front of the sea of tributes that had accumulated around the bandstand on the previous day. The monument includes signs as well as flowers, with the duchess pictured beside a plaque that reads ‘I am Sarah.’
Women throughout the UK held vigils for Sarah, emphasizing the need for greater action to combat violence against women.
A vigil was also scheduled in Birmingham, but was canceled.
The Duchess is wearing a dark brown-green coat, a thick cream polo neck sweater, black slim trousers, and a pair of wellington boots in the Clapham footage.
On the unexpected visit, a witness observed that Catherine “looked a bit upset” and “quite emotional.” “She was just on her own. About 10 metres behind her there were two people following her. It wasn’t obvious she had security with her .”
Reclaim the Streets has organized a fundraiser for women’s organizations in memory of Sarah Everard, which has collected £200,000 so far.
