Jeremy Renner ‘threatened to kill himself and his ex-wife’ – Lawsuit

According to a recent lawsuit, Avengers star Jeremy Renner reportedly threatened to kill himself and his ex-wife.

The actor, who plays Hawkeye in the Marvel flicks, is fighting for custody of his six-year-old daughter, Ava, with his wife Sonni Pacheco. Pacheco, a Canadian model who married Renner in January 2014 and divorced later that year, has accused him of drug usage and emotional abuse. The claims, according to Renner’s attorney, are “one-sided.”

Ms Pacheco, who is seeking full custody of the couple’s kid, alleges Renner threatened to murder her in court filings filed in Los Angeles.

Pacheco, who is 20 years Renner’s junior at the age of 28, alleges her ex-husband told someone at a nightclub in November of last year that he “could not deal with her anymore, and he just wanted her gone.”

Renner allegedly put a pistol in his mouth and threatened to kill himself later that night, according to the records, before discharging the gun into the ceiling while their daughter was sleeping in the residence.

The actor, who rose to prominence after starring in The Hurt Locker in 2008, is also accused of consuming cocaine while caring for his daughter and placing it on a bathroom counter within reach of her.

“The wellbeing of his daughter, Ava, has always been and continues to be the first concern for Jeremy,” a spokesperson for Renner told People magazine. “This is a matter for the court to decide. It’s important to note the dramatisations made in Sonni’s declaration are a one-sided account made with a specific goal in mind.”

Renner denies misusing drugs or alcohol in newly discovered documents, according to TMZ, and claims that he hired a mental health doctor to monitor his interactions with Ava to prove himself.

Pacheco cited “irreconcilable differences” as the grounds for the divorce when she filed in December 2014.

In September, the Superior Court of California, County of Los Angeles, received a motion for Ava’s sole legal and physical custody.

The city has scheduled a court hearing for November 7th. Renner, 48, has received Oscar nods for The Hurt Locker and The Town, in addition to his Marvel picture roles.
