Hugh Grant cheated on Elizabeth Hurley with prostitute Divine Brown
Back in the day, Hugh Grant and Elizabeth Hurley were a stunning couple. Hugh Grant confessed he had a fight with the press after being caught in a controversial encounter with a Hollywood s-x worker in 1995, fresh off his stardom after giving classics like ‘Four Weddings And A Funeral.’
The 60-year-old actor made news after cops apprehended him and s-x worker Divine Brown in a vehicle parked on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles.
At the time, the 60-year-old confessed he was in a “bad frame of mind” over the 1995 film “Nine Months.”
“I was about to launch my first Hollywood film — my timing was impeccable. My problem was — that was my first Hollywood film and I’d just been to see it. ‘ The film was about to come out a week or two after that, and I had a bad feeling about it. I went to see a screening. Everyone in it was brilliant, but I was so atrocious that I was not in a good frame of mind,” he said on Marc Maron’s WTF podcast.

Hugh confessed he went to down his sorrows before ‘one thing led to another’ as his mood worsened as he questioned his own performance in the romantic comedy, which also starred Julianne Moore and Robin Williams.
He said: ‘I had a Ken Russell kind of lunch – and one thing led to another. I just was disappointed in myself. I don’t know what was going on. It was called Nine Months.’
Despite his worries, the film was a box office success in Hollywood, debuting at number three in the US and grossing $138.5 million worldwide.
Two weeks after the incident, the film, which released behind Apollo 13 and Under Siege 2: Dark Territory, helped rocket him into superstardom.
The actor added: “The film (Nine Months) did alright at the box office, in fact I think it did quite well, and that’s all Hollywood really cares about.”
He allegedly paid Brown $60 to perform oral sex on him in a vehicle in Los Angeles, according to reports.
He was given a two-year probationary period, as well as a £760 fine and a requirement to attend an AIDS education program.
He claimed in a statement (via the New York Times) at the time, “Last night I did something completely insane. I have hurt people I love and embarrassed people I work with. For both things I am more sorry than I can ever possibly say.”
Grant and Hurley kept their romance going for a while, but their 13-year relationship came to an end in 2000.
Hugh is the godfather of her 18-year-old son Damian, as the two stayed friends.
