How Meghan Markle could become the highest-paid influencer in the world

Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, is said to be poised to become one of the highest paid influencers in the world, as insiders suggest she could earn up to £200,000 per post endorsing brands.

She has reportedly been tipped as the new face of the French fashion house, Dior.

This news comes after audio giant Spotify announced it would not renew her podcast, Archetypes, for a second season, a decision that could cost Meghan and Prince Harry $10 million.

However, sources close to the couple say that if Meghan accepts the brand deals that are being offered to her, she could be worth hundreds of millions of dollars.

Brand and culture expert Nick Ede suggested that Meghan “could become one of the biggest influencers in the world” and “could command millions” if she becomes the face of Dior.

He added that this deal could even rival the revenue Kim Kardashian brought in over the years through her partnership with Dolce & Gabbana, which saw her paid $47 million for simply wearing the designer on her wedding day.

In order to revamp her image, the Duchess has reportedly befriended marketing expert Victoria Jackson, who was behind one of the first TV ‘infomercial’ make-up empires.

She is married to Bill Guthy, whose marketing company Guthy-Renker helped former supermodel Cindy Crawford turn her Meaningful Beauty line of cosmetics into an £80 million brand.

The company also represents Jenifer Lopez’s JLo Beauty.

According to a source in Montecito, California, “Meghan and Victoria are very close.

If anyone can help Meghan develop a skincare or make-up brand, it’s Victoria and Bill.”

It is believed that Meghan may soon look to bring back her wellness and lifestyle blog, The Tig, in a bid to rival Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop website, which is reportedly worth £200million.

She recently renewed her trademark for The Tig, which she began in 2014 but closed down in 2017 after getting engaged to Prince Harry.

Alison Bringe, of brand performance company Lauchmetrics, added that if Meghan does become an influencer, she will be “in line with the best-paid mega-influencers, if not the highest paid in the world.”

Those in Los Angeles believe that Meghan could soon sign a deal with Dior to become the face of the company alongside stars such as Johnny Depp, Rihanna, and Jennifer Lawrence.

If she does sign with the brand, she could be on par with the £15 million handed to Depp to remain the face of its men’s fragrance, Sauvage.

The Duchess’s rebrand is being led by her new talent agency, William Morris Endeavour (WME), which represents some of the biggest names in Hollywood, including Oprah Winfrey – one of the couple’s closest friends, who hosted their first bombshell interview in 2021 after they left the royal family for California.

Ari Emanuel is the chief of the talent agency and is said to be ‘the best in the business’ when it comes to ‘corporate deals and making money’.

Notably, earlier this week, Spotify announced it would not be renewing Meghan’s podcast Archetype for a second season.

Insiders have claimed that ‘offers have been pouring in’ since the Duchess signed with WME, including offers to place her Spotify podcast elsewhere.

Public records in the US show that Meghan and Prince Harry bought their 16-bathroom Montecito mansion in 2020 for $14.65 million (£11.4 million) and have a $9.5 million (£7.4 million) mortgage on it.

On top of that, there are annual property taxes of $141,403 (£113,000), and their security costs are estimated to be at around £2 million a year, on top of the costs of staff, such as nannies, household help, gardeners, and travel costs – including private jets.

Despite the setback with Spotify, Meghan’s brand appeal remains high, with experts suggesting she could earn millions by becoming a face of Dior.

Jeremy Murphy, who runs New York’s 360bespoke PR agency, said that Meghan was reclaiming her identity, and added that “Ari is the best in the business when it comes to corporate deals and making money.

There’s finally an adult in the room.”

In conclusion, Meghan Markle is reportedly set to become one of the highest-paid influencers in the world, with experts suggesting she could command up to £200,000 per post.

Her rumoured deal with Dior could rival Kim Kardashian’s brand deal with Dolce & Gabbana.

With the help of marketing expert Victoria Jackson, Meghan may soon look to bring back her wellness and lifestyle blog, The Tig, in a bid to rival Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop website.

Despite the setback with Spotify, Meghan’s rebranding efforts are being led by talent agency William Morris Endeavour, which is said to be ‘the best in the business’ when it comes to ‘corporate deals and making money’.
