“Stranger Things” actress Grace Van Dien recently disclosed an unwanted sexual advance from a film producer on set, causing her to be more cautious in selecting acting roles.

During a Twitch stream on Tuesday, Van Dien, who played the character of cheerleader Chrissy Cunningham in the latest season of the popular Netflix show, revealed that she had rejected four film offers in the past two and a half weeks.

The 26-year-old actress has opted to concentrate on her Twitch streaming career, where she is known as @bluefille and has amassed 293,000 followers.

Van Dien explained that although some fans might be “disappointed” by her decision, her past few projects involved working for people who made her uncomfortable.

Van Dien recounted an incident from one of her last movies where a producer invited her to a threesome with him and another woman he was involved with, as reported by IndieWire.

The actress recalled feeling devastated and crying, but emphasized how streaming has been better for her mental health, allowing her to stay at home and play video games without experiencing inappropriate advances from superiors.

Although Van Dien, the daughter of soap opera actor Casper Van Dien and the great-granddaughter of Golden Age icon Robert Mitchum, did not identify the specific production, she insisted that she dealt with the situation appropriately.

Van Dien shared that a castmate witnessed the incident and supported her, leading to them having a difficult time on set.

She stated that for the time being, she will focus on streaming and developing her own projects, giving her control over her work environment and ensuring a respectful atmosphere.
