Reports have emerged suggesting that Dwayne Johnson, also known as “The Rock,” was stopped from beating his Fast and Furious co-star, Vin Diesel, in a fight sequence.

The incident took place during the filming of a multi-starer movie, where Johnson, along with Helen Mirren, Ludacris, and others, appeared alongside Diesel.

According to a report by Essential Sports, Vin Diesel proposed an idea to prevent himself from being beaten on-screen.

Diesel, who also served as a producer for the film, wanted to be the alpha star in fight sequences, and hence, he devised a plan that would have humiliated his other co-stars, namely Jason Statham and Dwayne Johnson.

As per a 2019 report by The Wall Street Journal, Diesel wanted to assign numerical values to every move, such as head butts, roundhouse kicks, and body slams, so he could keep track of every move that his co-stars were making while filming an action sequence.

This would enable him to calculate a total and determine if the two men were getting pummeled evenly.

However, Johnson had a different idea.

He believed that everyone should get hit equally, and hence, Diesel’s proposed plan did not sit well with him.

It may have been pitched to prevent Johnson from emerging as the bigger hero in the franchise, given that both celebrities are mega action stars and have given bonafide box-office giants.

Despite the tension between the two stars, The Rock’s absence from the Fast and Furious franchise has been missed by the audiences.

His performance in the movies is still considered one of his best, and it would have been challenging to replace him.

It is evident that the feud between Johnson and Diesel is still ongoing. Diesel’s proposed plan to prevent himself from getting beaten on-screen could have created more tension between the two stars.
