Cristin Milioti Faked 20 Orgasms in Made For Love Scenes

Cristin Milioti is dedicated to honing her craft, which includes mastering her orgasms. The star of HBO’s “Made For Love” participated in a roundtable discussion with other actors on on-screen s-x scenes. Milioti discussed the pilot episode, in which she was receiving head from her spouse while the camera was zoomed in on her Big O face.

Made for Love is based on Alissa Nutting’s book of the same name, which she executive produces and co-writes with Christina Lee. Hazel Green (Cristin Milioti) tries to escape a decade of emotional manipulation from her marriage to rich genius Byron Gogol (Billy Magnussen), who implants a chip in her brain without her consent to track her thoughts and feelings in the dramedy’s eight-episode first season (all available on HBO Max). The finale, “Let’s Meet,” gives Hazel a brief victory, only to have the rug pulled out from under her when she returns to Byron’s Hub, a highly advanced, isolated home, to try to save her father Herbert (Ray Romano).

The sci-fi elements and dark comedy of Made For Love give a bright counterpoint to Hazel’s problems throughout season one. However, in the season finale, much of that is stripped away to focus on Milioti and Magnussen’s performances as their characters face the brutal realities of their destructive relationship.

Milioti remarked of the production team behind the HBO Max mini series Made for Love, “They had me do, like, 20 orgasms. The worst part was they had a camera right here [right up to her face] and they were like, “Great, now do an orgasm like it’s real. Now do it like you’re faking it for him. Now do it like you want it… I was so embarrassed.””

Milioti was alluding to a scene in the pilot episode in which her on-screen spouse, Billy Magnussen, went down on her and Milioti’s face was in extreme close-up while she received what appeared to be inadequate oral stimulation. It was a brilliant moment that reminded me of a time when I was getting some head and the giver noticed me staring out the window. I was thinking about breakfast the next morning and how much better off I would have been if I had taken Milioti’s classes.

While I understand that acting is all about impersonating others, I find it astounding that a woman could or would choose to fake 20 orgasms. It’s exhausting enough to pull one truly believable orgasm out, but 20? And with a variety of flavors? Why hasn’t this woman won an Oscar yet?

Aidy Bryant talked about battling body image concerns in intimate sequences, while Kaley Cuoco talked about uncomfortable hanging over a man she was pretending to f–k. Thank you for your outstanding performances, ladies!
