Christina Ricci says she was once threatened with a lawsuit over performing a s** scene on camera

Christina Ricci, the 43-year-old film and television star, recently appeared on The View and spoke about how hard it was for her as a rising star.

While she sounded optimistic about a new generation of actors, she couldn’t help but look back on her experiences.

During the show, she recalled being threatened with legal action over a s** scene.

Although she did not mention the name of the project, Christina claimed that someone threatened to sue her over disagreements on how her s** scene should be filmed.

Speaking about how things had improved for younger actors, like her Yellowjackets costars who play younger versions of the adult cast, she said, “It’s really great.

Us older ladies talk about it all the time.

It’s amazing to see that they don’t necessarily have to go through the things we had to go through.

They’re able to say, ‘I don’t want to do this s** scene,’ ‘I’m not going to be n^ked.”

She continued to say, “They can set boundaries for themselves, we were never able to do.”

As an example of how bad things used to be, the Addams Family star recalled a painful conflict on one of her older projects.

“Someone threatened to sue me once because I didn’t want to do a s** scene in a certain way,” she claimed.

“It’s really changed,” she added of the film and television industry.

Ricci appears to have previously referenced the lawsuit, though with less context, in an Actors on Actors conversation with Euphoria’s Sydney Sweeney for Variety.

During their chat, she admitted she was once threatened with a lawsuit, though she didn’t specify that it was over a s** scene.

Earlier in the segment, she said one positive change in the industry was the decrease of negative, shaming coverage of starlets.

“Because we’ve changed so much — well we haven’t changed enough — but the little bits we’ve changed are in the media and society.

No one’s really allowed to call you names because you’re overweight,” she said.

Co-host Joy Behar thought that still existed, but Christina replied, “You don’t see that as much.

It used to be the headline.”

Christina also mentioned how amazed she was at the positive relationships the young actresses on her hit series Yellowjackets have with each other, which she didn’t remember having.

Whoopi Goldberg suggested that it might have been because she was primarily surrounded by adults, whereas her current costars have more actors their age to socialize with.

Recently, Christina expressed regret over a 1999 cover shoot for Rolling Stone magazine in which she appeared in pink lingerie when she was only 19 years old.

During a new interview with Rolling Stone, she talked about her early career as she promotes the upcoming second season of Yellowjackets, which has already been renewed for a third season.

During her appearance on The View, Christina looked stylish in a Wolk Morais ensemble, which was styled by Cristina Ehrlich.

She opted for a striking blazer with an eye-catching print.

The classic silhouette incorporates a single-breasted front, notch lapels, and patch pockets.

If you want to replicate the look, you can find similar patterned blazers by the likes of Wallis, Oasis, Boohoo, and Misspap at discounted prices.

In conclusion, Christina Ricci’s experiences demonstrate how much the film and television industry has changed over the years.

Young actors now have the freedom to set boundaries for themselves and say no to certain scenes.

Christina’s reflections on her past reveal how the industry has evolved, making it a safer and better place for actors.

Despite facing many challenges earlier in her career, Ricci is an example of how perseverance and hard work can lead to success in the entertainment industry.
