Bridgerton star left ‘screaming’ by nightmare wardrobe malfunction

Jonathan Bailey, who plays Anthony Bridgerton in the popular Netflix series Bridgerton, recently revealed that he suffered an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction while filming scenes for season two.

Bailey, 33, said he split his skintight trousers on camera during a fencing scene and was left “screaming” in horror.

The actor recalled that the uniform for the fencing sequence was very tight in certain places, and they were wearing plimsolls on wet dewy grass.

In his final lunge with Benedict, Bailey’s crotch ripped, and it was all caught on camera.

He said he screamed in embarrassment upon realizing that he was being filmed by four different cameras.

Despite the mishap, fans of Bridgerton can look forward to the new season, which promises a love triangle for Anthony with sisters Kate and Edwina Sharma, played by Simone Ashley and Charithra Chandran, respectively.

According to a synopsis on Netflix, when Anthony begins to court Edwina, Kate discovers the true nature of his intentions, and a love match is not high on his priority list.

Kate decides to do everything in her power to stop the union, but in doing so, she and Anthony’s verbal sparring matches only bring them closer together, complicating matters on both sides.

However, fans may be disappointed to learn that the new season contains hardly any s** scenes, despite being labeled as a “bonkbuster.”

The previous season was packed with steamy action, but the sequel is short on intimate moments, despite trailers teasing passion between Bailey and Ashley.

In the first episode of the first season, Bailey bared his buttocks as he had s** with Siena Rosso, played by Sabrina Bartlett, up against a tree.

However, Bailey’s character will be the focus of romance in the new season, and the lust never progresses beyond flirtation and a nearly kiss.

Bridgerton fans can catch the new season on Netflix, which airs on Friday.
