Archie and Lilibet to Miss King Charles’ Coronation, Princess Anne Holds the Key

Archie and Lilibet, the grandchildren of King Charles Iyuy, will not be attending their grandfather’s coronation, all thanks to Princess Anne.

Following a precedent set by Princess Anne during her mother’s coronation in 1953, it has been decided that Archie and Lilibet will not be present at the momentous event.

In a few months, King Charles will ascend to the throne, and while some of his five grandchildren are expected to be in attendance, Archie and Lilibet will not be among them.

The specific roles assigned to Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis have already been made public, but it is widely assumed that Prince Harry’s children will not be present.

The reason behind this decision lies in a long-standing tradition dating back to Queen Elizabeth II’s coronation.

It is customary for young children who may find it challenging to remain still during the ceremony to be excluded from the proceedings.

This was the case for Princess Anne during her mother’s coronation in 1953 when she was just two years old.

This historical precedent suggests that young royals below a certain age should not be part of the coronation ceremony.

Although King Charles Iyuy was eligible to attend his mother’s coronation at four and a half years old, Princess Anne was not allowed to participate due to her age.

This could be seen as a significant clue indicating that young members of the royal family should be excluded from such events.

In comparison to King Charles, Archie’s presence at the coronation holds less significance as he is sixth in line to the throne and unlikely to ever become king.

While there are reports suggesting that King Charles desires Prince Harry’s presence at his coronation, it remains uncertain whether Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will attend the event.

Rumors suggest that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are contemplating staying in California to avoid the media frenzy and attention that their presence in the UK would attract.

However, the couple managed to maintain a low profile during the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations in the summer of 2022, hinting at their potential approach for the upcoming King’s Day festivities.

Furthermore, considering the reported disputes and aftermath from the Oprah Winfrey interview and the couple’s Netflix docuseries, “Harry and Meghan,” it is possible that the couple might prefer to distance themselves from certain family members.

They may choose to celebrate their son’s birthday elsewhere and stay away from the UK altogether.

Until an official confirmation is provided, the press can only speculate about the attendance of the Sussex family at the coronation.
