After photographs of Timothée Chalamet and Larry David enjoying lunch leaked online, Twitter fans are fighting to keep their composure. Fans are eager to learn what the odd pair discussed over drinks.

The actor, 25, and the comedian, 74, were spotted enjoying lunch together earlier this week at Sant Ambroeus in New York City, and the photos went viral, especially because the two appeared to be having a great time in each other’s company.

Almost everyone else on Twitter wishes they could be a fly on the wall at Manhattan’s Sant Ambreous.

Larry turned up in a gray long-sleeved shirt and his characteristic Oliver Peoples glasses, and Timmy in a denim vest and flame-adorned basketball shorts.

Their friendship dates back to a prior run-in backstage at an award presentation. Both were in attendance at the 2018 SAG Awards, so it’s conceivable they’ve known one other for a long time.

Actor Timothée Chalamet, 25, joined David for the dinner after delivering a Met Gala look that sent shockwaves across the fashion and modern art worlds. They were also seen with David’s youngest daughter Romy, 25, and Josiah Adams, who appeared to be her boyfriend.

Despite the fact that many people were perplexed by the renowned couple’s unusual connection, they applauded it online. One Twitter user even stated that the event had been something they had been anticipating their entire lives.

One fan sarcastically captioned the images, “Gonna tell my kids this was Rick and Morty,” referring to the adult animated science fiction sitcom’s main characters.

In addition to Romy, David and ex-wife Hollywood producer Laurie Lennard have a 27-year-old daughter, Cazzie David. The couple divorced in 2007.

Because of their large age difference, some fans were concerned about David and Chamalet’s relationship. Their disparities in life stages were underlined even more amusingly by their contrasting reactions to fashion week activities.

David spurred hilarious reactions when he was seen at a New York Fashion Week show using his fingers to plug his ears while sitting in the front row as loud music blared through the speakers.

Some fans believed that the two could be filming for the next season of “Curb Your Enthusiasm.” Chamalet has shown to be a popular with a wide range of celebrities, so their friendship may just be organic.

Some people believe that David is what Chalamet will look like as he grows up.
