Ed Sheeran is selling his under wear

Pop superstar Ed Sheeran has donated over 300 personal items, including a pair of his underpants and orange Crocs, to charity.

The items are expected to raise tens of thousands of pounds for the Suffolk-based charity Zest, launched by St Elizabeth Hospice, which aims to support young adults in the region who are living with progressive and terminal illnesses.

The auction will take place on November 10 and will include vinyls from Sheeran’s personal collection, a drumstick, and a Bowie record valued at over £2,000.

Some of Sheeran’s more bizarre items such as a pair of his ‘aka s**y beast’ underwear (£120), his used Topman wallet (£50) and Heinz Ketchup shirts (£50) will also go on sale.

Sheeran’s custom-made guitar is estimated to bring in over £3,000.

The auction will be held at Bishop and Miller’s sales rooms in Stowmarket.

Oliver Miller, managing director of Bishop and Miller, said that they have worked with Zest and are excited to hold this auction.

“The preview event will give fans the chance to get up close to Ed’s items and even make pre-bids that will be taken to the auction,” he added.

Prior to the auction, the items will be going on display at a local school where Sheeran fans will have the chance to glimpse at his personal belongings.

Sheeran’s bright orange headphones are expected to raise more than £500 while a lego key ring he owned is valued at £30.

A bright blue harmonica and some old Nike trainers could sell for more than £120 each, and a life-size lego head of the superstar may rake in over £1,000.

Mr Miller said: “We have lots that will go for tens of pounds and hopefully others that will hopefully go for thousands raising money for this great charity.”

Sheeran’s donation of his personal belongings is an effort to raise funds for the new charity Zest, which will help young adults suffering from progressive and terminal illnesses.

The auction will be the ideal opportunity for Ed enthusiasts to get their hands on some of his personal items.

Mark Wheeler, Deputy Headteacher at Thomas Mills High School, said that Sheeran remains a close friend of the school and they are delighted to support him, Zest and St Elizabeth Hospice in this new and worthwhile venture.

“This is a great opportunity for Ed enthusiasts and a fabulous way to support a local charity,” he added.

Ed Sheeran is one of the most successful British musicians of all time, with multiple number-one singles and albums.

He has won numerous awards including four Grammys, six Brits, and an Ivor Novello.

In 2017, his album “÷” was the biggest-selling album of the year in the UK, while his single “Shape of You” spent 14 weeks at number one in the UK charts.

The auction of Sheeran’s personal items is expected to attract fans who want to own a piece of his history, as well as collectors who are interested in rare and unusual memorabilia.

With over 300 items up for grabs, there will be something for everyone, from vinyl records to underpants.
