Kylie Jenner sued over lacy underwear

Reality TV stars and fashion icons Kendall and Kylie Jenner are facing a legal battle with Klauber Brothers, Inc., a 161-year-old lace company that is accusing the sisters of copyright infringement over the use of their designs on two items.

The items in question are the “Kylie Thong Panties” sold on Kylie Jenner’s official online shop and a slip sold under the Kendall + Kylie brand.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Klauber is alleging that both items have utilized copyrighted lace patterns from their collection without permission.

The waistband of the “Kylie Thong Panties” uses Klauber’s copyrighted two-dimensional lace design, while the slip used another one of their lacy patterns.

The lawsuit claims that Klauber has copyrighted “most” of its patterns, which are based on original artwork.

Klauber is said to be seeking all the profits from both of the Jenner-branded items.

In response to the allegations, Scott Alan Burroughs, Esq., the lawyer representing Klauber Brothers, stated that the company has been seriously harmed by imitators who manufacture cheap copies of its original designs in areas with lax copyright laws.

He also added that Klauber Brothers’ business had been family-run for six generations and had always valued and invested in its creative team and unique lace designs.

The Jenner sisters have yet to comment on the lawsuit, and representatives for the Kylie Jenner Shop or the Kendall + Kylie brand were not immediately available to respond.

However, this is not the first time the famous siblings have faced legal action over their fashion lines.

In 2017, they were sued for using unauthorized images of Tupac Shakur on T-shirts, and in 2019, they were forced to pull a line of T-shirts featuring images of Ozzy Osbourne after his wife, Sharon, claimed that they had not received permission to use his likeness.

Despite the legal woes, Kendall and Kylie’s fashion empires continue to grow.

The sisters have been collaborating on their fashion lines since 2012 and have expanded into cosmetics, jewelry, and accessories.

They have also become regulars on the runway during fashion weeks worldwide and are often seen sporting their own designs on red carpets and in their everyday lives.

Klauber Brothers has been in business since 1859 and claims to be a leading innovator in the lace-making industry.

The company is based in Germany and has offices in Hong Kong, New York, and Switzerland.

Its website boasts of utilizing the latest machinery in a unique and creative fashion to develop new designs and breakthrough techniques that advance the art of lace making.

The legal battle between Klauber Brothers and Kendall and Kylie Jenner highlights the importance of protecting intellectual property, especially in the fashion industry, where designs are often copied and reproduced by others.

It remains to be seen how the case will play out, but both parties will undoubtedly be hoping for a swift resolution to the matter.

In conclusion, the Jenner sisters are facing a lawsuit from Klauber Brothers, Inc., over the alleged unauthorized use of copyrighted lace patterns in two of their fashion items.

The legal battle highlights the importance of protecting intellectual property, particularly in the fashion industry, and the need for designers to respect the copyrights of others.

Despite the legal troubles, Kendall and Kylie’s fashion empires continue to flourish, and they remain influential figures in the world of fashion and entertainment.
