Mexican actress Kate del Castillo has made a stunning revelation that she had s** with Hollywood star Sean Penn during the filming of her documentary ‘The Day I Met El Chapo’.

The actress, who also fell for Penn, spoke to Good Morning America on Friday to promote the Netflix film.

She said they were both adults and single, and something was going on but it was business.

Del Castillo contradicted herself, however, by admitting in the documentary that what they had gone through at the time after meeting El Chapo had brought them close emotionally.

The documentary shows images of how close the two got while arranging to meet the drug kingpin.

Penn had agreed to be interviewed by Del Castillo for Rolling Stone after months of secret conversations with El Chapo.

The actress had gotten Penn involved because she was making a film about the infamous drug lord.

Del Castillo says rather than sleeping with Penn, people just assumed she had s** with El Chapo.

In her GMA interview, she insinuated that never happened, adding that she feared being raped by the infamous drug lord during their rendezvous.

Mexican authorities raided the site soon after they met, but El Chapo had already fled.

Three months later, he was captured during a shootout that killed five of his associates.

Del Castillo admits that during filming, she felt like she and Penn were in a very delicate situation while meeting with El Chapo, so much so that she felt their lives were in each other’s hands in the face of the notorious drug kingpin.

She also says she was scared for her life when El Chapo escorted her to her room one evening, saying she was afraid he might rape or kill her.

While Del Castillo admits she had s** with Penn, she claimed that was it; there was no relationship that followed.

However, during the documentary, she gives their time together more emotional heft than just s**.

She explains that what they had gone through at the time, after meeting El Chapo, made them close.

Del Castillo also calls Penn charming, charismatic and fun in the film.

But whatever there was between the two ended when she stormed out of a restaurant upon reading a draft of Penn’s Rolling Stone article about El Chapo.

She hasn’t seen the actor since.

Penn showed her the final draft at the famous Sunset Towers hotel in Hollywood, at a table of famous people.

The actress says that rather than sleeping with Penn, people just assumed she had s** with El Chapo.

While it took her a while to admit to being intimate with Penn, Del Castillo said nobody asked her, and she wasn’t bragging.

Penn and his team have tried repeatedly to block the documentary from going forward.

Penn is particularly concerned that the documentary implies that he helped authorities at the Department of Justice in their capture of El Chapo.

In the documentary, Penn does not appear.

The good feelings did not last, however.

As Sean kept pushing her to get in touch with El Chapo whenever he needed, she started fighting and yelling at him.

Del Castillo opened up about s** with Penn during filming of her documentary out on Netflix.

They haven’t seen each other since she stormed out of a restaurant when shown a draft of his Rolling Stone interview.

Meanwhile, Penn’s team last week fired off a letter to Netflix to pull the film, saying that blood will be on their hands if this film causes bodily harm to their client.

El Chapo was extradited to the US in January.

Del Castillo, who had been secretly conversing with El Chapo for months as she planned on making a film about the infamous drug lord, arranged for Penn to meet him.

It was the first and only interview the Sinaloa cartel leader granted after escaping from a maximum security prison through a tunnel just months earlier.

The documentary is a three-part mini-series that tells the story of how actress Kate del Castillo and Hollywood star Sean Penn met the notorious drug lord, El Chapo.

It was released on Netflix on Friday, October 20th, 2017.
