Following the Meghan Markle and Prince Harry deal, Netflix has lost a significant amount of subscribers.

The duo’s $100 million deal has enraged Netflix subscribers to the point that some have decided to cancel the service.

One consumer wrote in response to the news of the newly signed contract, “I’m thinking of canceling my Netflix subscription…

Another one said, “Cancelled Netflix. “I’m not giving them a dime.”

“Not only would I not be interested in what they have to offer, but I will terminate my subscription!” explained another.

“Watch them on Netflix?” I’d rather cancel my subscription than retain it ”

“It’s up to @netflix to spend their money as they choose. We do, however, have the option of canceling our Netflix subscription.

“Other than Netflix, there are other choices for content. Let’s get rid of our subscription, shall we? ”

“Thank God I never subscribed to NETFLIX, which ensures I don’t have to cancel my subscription in light of this so-called mega deal of ‘woke’ & annoying Harry & MeAgain,” said another.

Meanwhile, sources at Buckingham Palace have responded angrily to the story, claiming that the agreement would be’scrutinized’ by the royal household.

“With everyone’s best wishes, Harry and Meghan left as working members of the family, and it is truly hoped they discover the peace that seemed to be missing in their lives.”

“However, whatever transactions they create would certainly be scrutinized by the royal household,” says the source.

They also said, “They concluded that all commercial offers would be open to negotiation as part of their agreement to forego their royal duties. This Netflix contract, as well as any other speaking engagements or corporate jobs, are instances.”

Meghan and Harry’s commercial deals

The couple signed a multiyear contract with Netflix in September, six months after their split from the House of Windsor, to create series, documentaries, feature films, scripted plays, and children’s programming.

According to the New York Times, the pair said in a statement at the time of the announcement, “Our attention will be on producing material that not just teaches but also offers hope.” “As new parents, it’s also vital to us to build inspiring family programming.” Netflix’s “unprecedented scope would enable us share impactful content that unlocks action,” they said. The deal’s valuation is estimated to be in the neighborhood of $100 million, but this is yet to be proven.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex collaborated with Spotify via their production firm, Archewell Audio, in December. In a contract expected to be worth about $25 million, the two will host and produce podcasts. Harry and Meghan plan to foster “new viewpoints” and highlight “amazing women” in interviews. Sir Elton John, James Corden, tennis champion Naomi Osaka, author Deepak Chopra, spoken word singer George the Poet, filmmaker Tyler Perry, and British feminist Christina Adane made brief appearances in their first episode, a 2020 holiday special, which premiered on the service on Dec. 29.
