“Your acting ability is why you’d be an amazing Lex”: DC Fans Refuse to Let Go of Bryan Cranston’s Lex Luthor Fan-Cast Despite Breaking Bad Star Openly Refuting it
Bryan Cranston has been a fan favorite for the role of Lex Luthor in Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, despite openly refuting the idea.
While it is true that his bald head could fit the part, fans believe that his acting ability is what truly makes him an amazing candidate for the role.
A recent fan-made poster has sparked the possibility of Cranston being cast as Lex Luthor.
This has led to discussions among fans about which supervillains might be getting their own solo movies.
Given that Lex Luthor is one of Superman’s greatest enemies, it would make sense for him to have his own movie.

During an interview with MTV’s Josh Horowitz for the Happy, Sad, Confused podcast, Cranston addressed rumors that he would make a good Lex Luthor in a Superman movie.
He talked about the impression of “lazy casting” that led fans to use his bald head to fan-cast him as Jim Gordon or Lex Luthor.
Despite this, Cranston recalled providing the voice of Gordon in the 2011 animated Batman film, Batman: Year One.
While Cranston’s fans are disappointed that he will not be playing Lex Luthor, it is important to respect his choice.
Actors must have a level of interest and passion for the part in order to portray characters with full enthusiasm.
Fans have expressed their disappointment on social media, stating that Cranston’s acting range is what makes him perfect for the role.
However, rumors suggest that a few actors are screen testing for the role of Luthor as Superman: Legacy gears up to begin filming early in 2024.
Despite not landing the role of Lex Luthor, Bryan Cranston will always be remembered for playing Walter White in the hit television series Breaking Bad.
He still receives high praise for his acting prowess because of his talent and adaptability, which have also helped him build a strong reputation in the entertainment industry.
Superman: Legacy is set to hit theaters on July 11, 2025.
While we may not see Cranston as Lex Luthor, fans will undoubtedly be excited to see who lands the role.
