Kate Beckinsale is a Hollywood actress who recently gave an interview to Maxim magazine to promote her husband’s remake of the Arnie sci-fi classic Total Recall, in which she stars alongside Colin Farrell and Jessica Biel.

During the interview, she revealed that she doesn’t wear underwear unless she has to.

Maxim asked her if it was true that she hated wearing panties, and Beckinsale replied, “Yeah, I don’t wear knickers. I mean, unless I’m wearing a very short skirt – or maybe if I’m going on a mountain expedition with extra layers. But no, I don’t like them.”

The question was not completely out of the blue, as Maxim was hoping to generate interest among its readers, who were already enjoying pictures of Beckinsale in black spandex.

Beckinsale had already shared some interesting tidbits about her experience filming Total Recall, saying, “It was my second day on set, and I’ve got my crotch in Colin Farrell’s face. That was an icebreaker.”

She also commented on the costumes in the film, saying, “Coming to Total Recall from Underworld, I very much appreciated the lack of rubber and leather and latex.”

“But I would say probably my least favourite costume ever was in Van Helsing.

“That was a huge pain because it had thigh-high boots with 30 buckles on them that had to be done up individually.”

During the interview, Farrell was asked what gadgets from the film he had in real life, to which he jokingly replied, “A three-breasted hooker in a hovercar! That’s what I was hoping for as my wrap gift.”

Beckinsale’s admission about her aversion to wearing underwear generated a lot of attention, but it’s not the first time she has made headlines for her statements.

For example, in an interview with The Sunday Times in 2016, she said, “My vagina’s really famous. If I gave you a picture of it, you’d be like, ‘Oh yeah! I know that!'”

Despite her tendency to make bold statements, Beckinsale is widely regarded as a talented actress.
