Video Shows Man Sock Woman in the Face in NYC Subway Station

Police are on the hunt for a violent attacker who brutally assaulted a woman in a New York City subway station.

The incident, which was caught on video, took place on Sunday at the Clinton-Washington Avenues Station in Brooklyn.

The clip begins with the victim walking along the platform, looking down at her phone.

Suddenly, the culprit appears and starts heading towards her from the opposite direction.

As they pass each other, he punches her in the face, causing her to fall down.

The victim can be seen holding her face in shock and pain, as a good Samaritan comes to her aid from a subway train that is idling in the station.

The woman later shared the video of the assault on TikTok, showing her black eye and criticizing herself for not paying attention to her surroundings.

The suspect quickly fled the scene and is now being pursued by NYPD detectives.

Police have released the video in an effort to identify the assailant.

The footage shows the attacker wearing a gray hoodie and black pants, carrying a blue backpack.

He appears to be in his 20s or 30s and has a medium build.

The incident has sparked outrage across social media, with many users calling for justice to be served.
