Tom Hardy: ‘I sleep with men sometimes’

Tom Hardy, who has been married to British actor Charlotte Riley since 2014 and shares two children with her, has confessed to experimenting with s**, drugs, and alcohol in his younger years.

The star of Venom: Let There Be Carnage, who once played Heathcliffe in the 2009 BBC remake of Wuthering Heights, met Riley on the set of the show, where she played his on-screen love interest, Catherine Earnshaw.

The couple got engaged in 2009 and then married in secret in 2014 at the Chateau de Roussan in the south of France.

Hardy has a 13-year-old son from a previous relationship, and he stated that becoming a father gave him a sense of purpose and made him rethink his life.

Hardy said, “I made a lot of mistakes, and I put my mum and dad through a lot because they were so worried about me.”

“I take great pride in being a father and make sure I’m there for him and helping him as he makes his way in the world.”

Hardy has also been open about his fluid sexuality, stating in a 2010 interview with Now Magazine that he has experimented with men.

He said, “Of course I have. I’m an actor for f***’s sake.

“I’ve played with everything and everyone.

“I love the form and the physicality, but now… it doesn’t do it for me.

“I’m done experimenting, but there’s plenty of stuff in a relationship with another man, especially gay men, that I need in my life.”

The 44-year-old actor noted that he is often perceived as masculine due to his roles in movies such as Bronson, Warrior, and The Dark Knight Rises, but he doesn’t feel masculine at all.

Instead, he feels “intrinsically female” and says that he always felt a bit on the outside of the boys’ club.

Hardy reprised his role as journalist Eddie Brock and the voice of Venom in Venom: Let There Be Carnage, a sequel to the 2018 movie.

Hardy and screenwriter Kelly Marcel came up with the plot ideas for the latest film, and Hardy received a story credit for it.

The sequel features more banter and witty interactions between Hardy and his fearsome alien parasite Venom.

In an interview with USA Today, Hardy said that he and Venom are “100 percent an old married couple” in the sequel, and “It’s very clear-cut that these two belong together.”

“They can’t stand each other, but they can’t be without each other.” The movie premiered in theaters in 2021.
