On April 30, Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson commemorated their 34th wedding anniversary.

The “Halfway to Home” singer gave her social media followers a throwback image from their wedding to commemorate the noteworthy occasion.

On Instagram, Wilson, 65, posted a picture from her 1988 nuptials to Hanks, now 65. The duo is seen walking towards the camera while holding hands, their exuberant smiles obvious.

The 65-year-old captioned the shot, “34th. 1988-2022. 💕☦️💕,”

With the image set to the tune “The Best Days of Our Lives,” Wilson also commemorated the occasion on her Instagram Story.

On their wedding day, the TV and movie actress and her twice-Oscar-winning husband exuded a radiant new-wed glow. The star’s succinct caption, which she added to the image, was also the ideal way to summarize everything. Overall, the essay beautifully captures the moment and her sentiments for her longtime partner.

The mother of two donned a white minidress with tulle wrapped around the top and ruffles along the bottom.

She wore a strapless dress that hugged her slender shape and translucent white tights in addition to her veil.

Rita had tiny ringlets flowing over one side of her face and black, updo-styled hair.

The Forrest Gump actor looked dapper in a black tuxedo and a clean-shaven face.

He escorted his new bride while donning a white shirt and bowtie under his suit.

The post has received a deluge of supportive comments from Rita’s well-known friends. One in particular exclaimed, “Happy anniversary, love u,” to the other. Happy Anniversary!!! [two red heart emojis], Kate Hudson chimed in.

The enduring couple first connected while working on the ABC sitcom “Bosom Buddies” in 1981. In 1986, two years before they got married, Hanks made Wilson public after divorcing his ex-wife, the late Samantha Lewes.

Colin Hanks, 44, and Elizabeth Hanks, 39, are their shared son and daughter.

Truman Hanks, 26, and Chester “Chet” Hanks, 31, are also the children of Hanks and Wilson.

Nevertheless, Hanks and Wilson have experienced challenging times together. Wilson told PEOPLE she felt “fortunate” to have Hanks and the rest of her family by her side after learning she had breast cancer and undergoing a double mastectomy in 2015.

Rita celebrated the first year when she and Tom contracted COVID-19 in March of last year. “One year ago today I was playing the Sydney Opera House @sydneyoperahouse, the next day started feeling very tired and achy, two days later hospitalized with Covid 19.”  she said with a photo of her and her spouse on Instagram.

“I want to take a moment to say how grateful we are for our health, how thankful we are for the medical care we got in Queensland, and that we share in the sorrow of each person who lost a loved one to this virus,” she added. “I’m hopeful for so many being able to get the vaccine.”

“I also do not take for granted that creating music stayed a part of my life through @zoom remote and safe recording and writing, even with women from Brazil @claudialeitte and @therajakumari for our new song Hello World. #hellowworldmovement Music has been very healing this year,”  she continued. “So thankful for that, too.”

Occasionally, the married couple has continued to work on the same productions; most recently, they appeared in different episodes of the Yellowstone prequel 1883. Fans may soon see the two stars share a screen in a different movie or television program. In the meantime, you may see Tom Hanks take on the part of Col. Tom Parker in the upcoming biopic Elvis, appearing in theaters on June 24.
