Lea Thompson, known for her role in the 1985 classic movie “Back to the Future”, recently revealed that she owes her career to Tom Cruise.

Before landing her big break as Lorraine Baines in the iconic film, Thompson starred opposite Cruise in the 1983 movie “All the Right Moves”.

The actress said that producers had originally wanted her to show her breasts twice in the script, a prospect she was not thrilled about.

She didn’t even audition for the part because of this requirement, but ended up getting the role anyway.

Tom Cruise, however, managed to convince the producers to eliminate one of the n^de scenes and even offered to appear n^ked alongside Thompson in the other scene.

“, Thompson said of Cruise’s actions.

She also expressed gratitude towards him for standing up to the producers on her behalf.

Thompson went on to star in “Back to the Future” in 1985 alongside Michael J.

Fox.

The two appeared together again in the sequels, “Back to the Future Part II” and “Back to the Future Part III”.

Thompson revealed that she still keeps in touch with Fox and enjoys doing panels with him.

She spoke highly of him, describing him as funny, clever, strong, and self-deprecating.

But it was in 1987’s “Some Kind of Wonderful” where Thompson met director Howard Deutch, who would later become her husband.

The pair have been married since 1989 and have two daughters together.

Although she didn’t initially realize that he was “the one,” Thompson said that they ended up staying together day by day and she loves him more than ever now.

She described him as funny and a good partner and dad, and reflected on how magical it is to stay with someone for so long.

Their marriage, like any other, has faced its own challenges, but Thompson said that they are both stubborn and willing to make it work.

As a child of divorce, Thompson never grew up thinking that people always stay married forever.

However, she is happy to have Deutch in her life and to have created a family with him.

In Hollywood, Thompson has directed “The Year of Spectacular Men”, which will be released on June 15th.

The movie was written by her daughter Madelyn Deutch and stars her other daughter Zoey Deutch.

Thompson expressed how collaborative the process was and how much she learned about her daughters as professionals.

She described them both as hard workers and good at their craft.

Throughout her career, Lea Thompson has managed to maintain a successful and steady career as an actress while also being a hands-on mom and supportive spouse.
