Title: Fashion Feud: Catherine and Meghan’s Clash Over Erdem Designs

On Monday, March 13th, the UK and Commonwealth countries celebrated Commonwealth Day.

The occasion was marked by a special service at Westminster Abbey, attended by members of the royal family.

As always, all eyes were on the attendees and their fashion choices.

Prince William and Catherine, the Princess of Wales, were present, along with King Charles, Queen Consort Camilla, Princess Anne, Prince Edward, and Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh.

Catherine looked stunning in an exquisite £3,000 Erdem outfit, complemented by a diamond Prince of Wales feathers brooch – a thoughtful gift from the King.

To complete her ensemble, she wore a pair of glittering two-tiered flower-shaped earrings, previously owned by Princess Diana.

However, some royal fans believe that Catherine’s choice of Erdem over Meghan’s preference for the designer may have caused a bit of tension between the two.

It seems that Catherine’s priority access to Erdem designs irked Meghan, who had also shown an affinity for the brand.

Despite Meghan having worn his creations before joining the royal family, Catherine, being an existing customer, was given precedence.

This reportedly did not sit well with the Sussexes, leading to speculation about a possible fashion rivalry between the two duchesses.

Critics of Meghan argue that her fashion choices as a royal lacked flair.

They point out flaws such as ill-fitting formal dresses and pants without proper hems.

One particular dress, the Endeavour dress, received criticism even from fashion experts, with some suggesting it did not look good on the model either.

Meghan, however, believed she was a trendsetter, especially as a woman of color, a facet of her identity she embraced after marrying Prince Harry.

The clash over Erdem designs also highlighted the difference in experience between Catherine and Meghan as members of the royal family.

Catherine had spent a decade as William’s girlfriend before becoming his wife, giving her a deeper understanding of royal protocols and expectations.

Meghan, on the other hand, was relatively new to the royal world and may have underestimated the importance of Catherine’s seniority.

Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams noted that Harry and Meghan were initially seen as a fresh and appealing face of the royal family within the Commonwealth.

However, their views on the network of nations came across as more negative in a recent six-episode documentary series.

In the series, one of the chosen interviewees criticized the Commonwealth as a commercial extension of British imperialism, which was unfortunate considering the queen’s significant efforts to nurture the institution.

Fitzwilliams also pointed out that the Commonwealth is composed of sovereign independent states, including recent additions like Togo and Gabon, which have no colonial connection with Britain.

While Harry and Meghan may have been disappointed about losing their patronages, it appears that the Commonwealth is not currently a priority for them.

In conclusion, the clash over Erdem designs between Catherine and Meghan has sparked speculation about a fashion feud between the two duchesses.

However, it is important to remember that their differing experiences as members of the royal family and Meghan’s evolving identity may have contributed to the tensions.

Meanwhile, the couple’s recent comments on the Commonwealth have raised eyebrows and potentially strained their relationship with the network of nations.
