The Sussexes Miss a Big Family Celebration on the 4th of July as Harry Films Documentary in Africa

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, will be missing out on a big family celebration this 4th of July.

With Independence Day just around the corner, the couple, who now reside in the United States, have separate schedules that will keep them apart.

Since their move to the US in March 2020, after stepping down as working members of the royal family, Meghan, an American citizen, has been living with Prince Harry and their two children, Archie, 4, and Lilibet, 2, in Montecito, Santa Barbara.

They have been enjoying their new life away from the spotlight.

On July 4th, thousands of celebrations will take place across the US to commemorate the country’s independence.

Last year, the couple was spotted watching the parade in the Jackson Hole Valley in Wyoming, where they also spent time with Meghan’s long-time friend, Heather Dirac.

However, it seems that they will not be able to attend any festivities this year.

Meghan is currently focused on forging her own professional path and distancing herself from the brand Sussex, according to sources.

On the other hand, Prince Harry is reportedly making his grand return to Africa for a new documentary with Netflix.

The trip is set to begin on July 2nd and filming is expected to be completed within 10 days.

This solo project in Africa marks the next phase of the Sussexes’ £78 million deal with the renowned streaming service.

It comes as a relief for Prince Harry, as his wife Meghan recently faced disappointment when their $20 million Spotify deal came to an end.

There were also concerns about their overall deal with Netflix, with rumors suggesting that the platform might part ways with the royal couple.

However, things seem to be back on track for Harry as he follows in the footsteps of his late mother, Princess Diana, by returning to Africa for this new project.

The exact nature of the documentary is not yet known, and the ongoing Hollywood writer’s strike may delay Harry’s plans.

In a previous Netflix documentary, Harry appeared alongside Meghan, but this time he will be working alone.

Meanwhile, Meghan is reportedly receiving offers from various brands and has hired a new agent to help her build her own professional career.

Royal expert Daniela Elsa believes that Meghan is embarking on a divergent path from Prince Harry.

With the Spotify deal gone and Harry focused on his court cases and the release of his Heart of Invictus documentary on Netflix, it seems that Meghan is now ready to shine in her own one-woman show.

Offers have been pouring in for her, and she is surrounded by a team of advisors who are planning her next chapter.

For the first time, the couple appears to be heading in different professional directions.

While Harry immerses himself in his solo project in Africa, Meghan is preparing to take on new opportunities and establish herself as an independent force.
