Taylor Kitsch recalls ‘Awkward’ Sex Scenes With Blake Lively
If Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively’s boyfriend, was ever concerned about his girlfriend engaging in sex scenes with her attractive Savages co-star Taylor Kitsch, he can now stop.
The 31-year-old actor and model described the love sessions he had with the actress as “awkward.”
According to People, the Battleship star stated that he had only known Lively for a short time before they were asked to record the intimate moments.
“A lot of sexual improv was going on there,” he claimed. “God knows we had two weeks of rehearsal, so we talked until we were about to pass out, and then [we shot the sex scenes] on the day I think I knew Blake three days… four days maybe.”

The up-close-and-personal scenario turned out to be far more work than play for Kitsch.
“I was just glad it was over with, to be honest. It’s very awkward to do, to be honest,” Kitsch told reporters during a press briefing for the film.
‘…And it’s such a big part of (my character) and who he is, and that’s how you meet him. So its a pretty intense reveal, no pun intended.’
Kitsch’s Chon is a former Navy SEAL with a gruff demeanor in Oliver Stone’s Savages, who seems to care solely about his woman, O (Lively), and his closest buddy Ben (Aaron Johnson), who also has a sexual relationship with O.
While Kitsch is still single, Blake has been seeing Ryan Reynolds, her Green Lantern co-star, for several months.
As they continue to settle down as a couple, the two just purchased a home together in Bedford, New York’s suburbs.
Kitsch told reporters that he and the Gossip Girl actress didn’t have much time to get to know one another.
“We blocked it out with Oliver,” Kitsch stated of his sex scenes preparation. “We had two weeks of rehearsals, so we talked it out until we were about to pass out. Then, on the day… that was the first week of shooting, so it’s just about trusting Blake and Oliver like you do on any set.”
In the film, Blake and Kitsch play two marijuana farmers named Ben and Chon who are pitted against a Mexican drug cartel when their shared lover is abducted.
The protagonists of the film, which is based on the Don Winslow novel, are Aaron Johnson and Kitsch.
