Steven Seagal storms out of live interview after Question about sexual assault allegations

Steven Seagal has devised an intriguing way to commemorate the one-year anniversary of the #MeToo movement.

On Thursday, Seagal stormed out of a live interview with the BBC after being questioned about the sexual misconduct claims leveled against him.

Several women, including Portia de Rossi, Julianna Margulies, Jenny McCarthy, and Inside Edition contributor Lisa Guerrero, have accused the 66-year-old actor of rape and sexual harassment.

“You obviously spend a lot of time in Russia, you spend a lot of time in America, you’re making films and so forth,” Wark began her question to the Under Siege star.

“You’ve been very much caught up in all the allegations of sexual harassment, you had a rape allegation against you and I wonder how you deal with all that?”

Seagal removed his earpiece and went off the set without saying anything.

A crew member then assisted him in removing his microphone during a muted argument as cameras returned to the studio.

She then looked to see if the Above the Law actor was still present before returning her focus to the audience.

“Steven Seagal, there,” she said. “And, of course, though he didn’t respond there, he has said previously he denies any allegations that have been made against him.”

The actor appeared on the show to explain his friendship with Russian President Vladimir Putin, and how he was appointed “Special Representative for Russia-US Cultural Links.”

Regina Simons, an extra in his 1994 film On Deadly Ground, accused the actor of rape. She told TheWrap that she was 18 at the time of the alleged rape, which she claims occurred after Seagal took her to a movie wrap party at his Beverly Hills home in 1993.

Actress Rachel Grant accused the activist of sexual assault in January 2018. Grant claims that at a rehearsal for the 2003 film Out for a Kill in a hotel suite, Seagal forcibly exposed her breasts before shoving her onto a bed.

McCarthy says that at a 1995 audition for “Under Siege 2,” the actor and producer pressured her to undress, telling her, “You know, this part has nudity in it, and I can’t really tell what your body looks like in that dress you’re wearing.”

“Mr. Seagal denies all accusations and continues to stand his ground that he has not engaged in any such misconduct,” the statement said. “The allegations that have been made against Mr. Seagal are false and have no substantive material support. The accounts of both women are completely fictitious and totally made up. The allegations are a disservice to women who are victimized because of real predators in the film industry.”

According to a charge evaluation worksheet prepared by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, “the reporting party alleged that in 1993, she was the victim of a sexual assault perpetrated by the suspect. The victim was 18 years old at the time. The statute of limitations expired in 1999. Therefore, an analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of the evidence is not warranted and the matter is declined.”

Seagal, according to De Rossi, unbuttoned his pants during a private office audition. Julianna Margulies, star of “The Good Wife” said a similar occurrence occurred with Seagal when she was 23.

“Inside Edition” journalist Lisa Guerrero claimed Seagal sought a “private audition” while wearing a silk kimono at a try-out. Guerrero thanked Wark for her questions on Twitter following the interview. She went on to say that it’s “very telling that he…ran away.”

A representative for Seagal previously disputed to The Daily Beast McCarthy’s accusations that he requested her to strip naked during an audition for the film Under Siege 2.

Marty Singer, his lawyer at the time, also refuted an accusation that the actor barged in on an unnamed Hollywood executive who was changing in his trailer in 1991.

“This is totally false…

“It is interesting this person doesn’t give her name to give her claims legitimacy,” Singer told The Sun at the time.
