The Queen has been ‘styling her own hair’ at Windsor Castle
During her two recent broadcast speeches to the country, millions of people marveled at how lovely Her Majesty’s ‘Barnet’ looked.
The Queen, 94, is staying at Windsor Castle during the lockdown. The Queen has apparently been styling her own hair in the absence of a beautician.
According to The Sun on Sunday, a royal source has disclosed that the Queen has been doing her own hair for decades whenever a hairdresser is unavailable.
“She washes, drys and sets it herself – and she’s very good at it!”
“She has had lots of practice and so she knows exactly what to do.

“She has been carrying on at Windsor because no outsiders are allowed into the castle to protect her and Prince Philip, who’s 99 next month.
“Her dresser Angela Kelly has been helping her but the Queen does it all herself. It is typical of her that she just keeps calm and makes the best of things.”
Ian Carmichael, a Scot living in London, has been the Queen’s hairdresser for the past 23 years. At least once a week, the flamboyant bachelor travels to Buckingham Palace or Windsor Castle to see his most famous customer. He never speaks about his trips since he is fiercely devoted to the Queen.
However, in prior interviews, he stated, “Of all my clients the Queen is by far my favourite. She has wonderful hair.”
He stays quiet about the queen, though, and refuses to gossip about her or share what they discuss.
It comes as the Queen is scheduled to spend the foreseeable future at her Berkshire estate.
‘I have done her hair for a very long time and I remain loyal to her,’ he said in 2013.
Mr Carmichael has stated that the Queen is hesitant to change her hairdo and that elderly women should not rush to have a shorter haircut.
The Queen stopped dying her hair with Chocolate Kiss in 1990 and beautifully became grey after a few months.
Millions of people praised her hair during her “We’ll Meet Again” speech in April and her VE Day speech on May 8, when she looked her finest and lifted morale.
Meanwhile, the monarch has stepped aside from public responsibilities due to the pandemic, although she has lately stated that she intends to return to work “as soon as possible.”
An insider recently explained: “The Queen won’t do anything which goes against the advice of people in her [age] category, and she’s going to take all the appropriate advice. There are discussions what we could do and couldn’t do come October.”
And Queen Elizabeth has invited younger members of the Royal Family to take her place while she is out.
According to a royal insider, “There is going to be a lot more interaction between the family members while the crisis is ongoing.
“Her Majesty has given instructions that, after a turbulent period for the family last year, now is the time to heal and have a united front and get back to the basics of what the monarchy is for – her sole belief is that it goes back to the basics of duty.”
She communicates with other family members by phone and video conversations, as the royals, like the rest of the country, observe social distancing norms.
Prince Charles, 71, is with Camilla, 72, in Birkhall in Scotland, where he has recovered from coronavirus.
Prince William, 37, and Kate, 38, are staying at Anmer Hall in Norfolk with Prince George, six, Princess Charlotte, five, and two-year-old Prince Louis.
During the lockdown, the Queen delivered two broadcast speeches and one audio message to the nation.
