Queen REJECTS Harry and Meghan’s offer to advise Royal Family
According to a royal commentator, the Queen has turned down an offer from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to be “involved” in the restructuring of the Palace workplace.
This comes on the back of reports that Buckingham Palace is considering naming a diversity czar. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex “want to be involved in talks” on changing the Palace workplace, according to Vanity Fair royal correspondent Katie Nicholl.
The Queen and the rest of the Royal Family, on the other hand, remain confident that the reforms will be carried out “in palace.”
Vanity Fair’s royal correspondent Katie Nicholl told Entertainment Tonight that despite Harry and Meghan’s willingness to be “involved in discussions” about palace restructuring, they are being kept in the dark.
“Harry and Meghan would very much want to be involved with discussions about how the Palace might become a more diverse workplace,” she said. “But the feeling I get is that this is all being handled in-house.

“Courtiers are in charge of this, under the supervision of the Queen and members of the Royal Family.”
In January 2020, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex retired as senior serving members of the British royal family, and as a result, they are no longer involved in those affairs.
Her Majesty will treat any improvements as a “palace operation,” according to Nicholl. She also thinks it’s “telling” that Harry and Meghan haven’t been asked to participate in the inquiry into allegations Meghan harassed employees.
“They are being kept quite deliberately distanced from that,” she said. “And I expect it to be the same for this entire push at Buckingham Palace toward a diverse working operation.”
Harry and Meghan cut relations with the palace and courtiers after their resignation from the monarchy, and as a result, Nicholl says there’s “absolutely no need for them to be a part of these talks.”
“However, the Palace has heard and listened to them, and steps are being taken to address those problems,” she said.
Both Harry and Meghan discussed race during their interview with Oprah, alleging that the skin color of their first child, son Archie, was questioned by an unidentified senior member of the royal family prior to his birth.
“Concerns and conversations about how dark Archie’s skin could be when he’s born,” Meghan stated.
