According to a royal expert, the Queen may have an “insulting” response to her grandson Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle’s behavior.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been chastised for using their royal titles after leaving the UK.

They are also forbidden from using the term “royal” in their branding while in the United States.

But the couple’s titles as Duke and Duchess of Sussex, as well as Harry’s Prince title, have not changed.

Some have asked for the Queen’s titles to be taken away because they have criticized the royal family.

Ingrid Seward, a royal specialist, thinks her Majesty would prefer “ignore them” rather than provide them with more “ammunition to criticise the monarchy”

“I don’t think removing the titles would make much difference and it would look very petty,” she told Express.co.uk.

“I also don’t think it is something the Queen would want to do at this stage of her reign. It would be far more insulting just to ignore them.

“Even excluding them from the jubilee next year gives them ammunition to criticise the monarchy.”

Meghan and Harry were deprived of their HRH titles by the Queen in January when they announced their separation from the monarchy.

Also Harry is no longer a member of the Royal Marines, RAF Honington, Royal Navy Small Ships and Diving. He is also no longer England Rugby’s patron.

Meghan’s patronages at the Royal National Theatre and the Association of Commonwealth Universities have also been revoked.

“The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have confirmed to Her Majesty The Queen that they will not be returning as working members of The Royal Family,” Buckingham Palace stated at the time.

“Following conversations with The Duke, The Queen has written confirming that in stepping away from the work of The Royal Family it is not possible to continue with the responsibilities and duties that come with a life of public service.

“The honorary military appointments and Royal patronages held by The Duke and Duchess will therefore be returned to Her Majesty, before being redistributed among working members of The Royal Family.

“While all are saddened by their decision, The Duke and Duchess remain much loved members of the family.”

“As evidenced by their work over the past year, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex remain committed to their duty and service to the UK and around the world, and have offered their continued support to the organisations they have represented regardless of official role,” a spokesperson for Harry and Meghan said.

“We can all live a life of service. Service is universal.”

During their explosive interview with Oprah in March, Meghan and Harry also discussed the royal titles. According to Meghan, Archie was not granted a royal title, which meant he would no longer be protected by taxpayers.

She also speculated that his skin color may have had a role in his choice.

But “Recollections may vary,” said Buckingham Palace afterwards.
