Queen ‘deeply upset’ by Harry’s actions and there will be ‘consequences’
According to a royal specialist, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s assaults on the Royal Family have been “very, very damaging.”
There may be a “tipping point,” according to Royal Family analyst Rebecca English.
Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams agreed, citing the royal couple’s interviews and media contacts following their departure from the UK.
The Queen is particularly irritated by her grandson’s criticism of Prince Charles’ parenting abilities.
“The Sussexes’ activities, when they’ve spoken out, have been very, very damaging,” Mr. Fitzwilliams told the Daily Star.
Trending:
“There’s no doubt about it.”
He went on to say that the Queen would have thought Harry and Meghan’s behavior was “deplorable.”
MrFitzwilliams said: “She has realised how unhappy they were, but speaking out in the way they have is a totally different thing.
“The Queen will have found the way the Sussexes have handled things, I think, deplorable.”
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have made some strong accusations about the Royals and the Monarchy in recent months.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex retired from their royal duties to raise their son Archie on their own.
Following his recent bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey, Harry’s relationship with the royals is reported to be “hanging by a thread.”
Harry accused the Royal Family of “total neglect” and said his father allowed him to “suffer” as a kid in the front of the media in the documentary series The Me You Can’t See.
The Sussexes said that when Meghan was suicidal, royal staff refused to assist her, and that a relative made a discriminatory remark regarding their son’s skin color.
The Duke of Sussex has been accused of “poking the bear” and has been warned that he may suffer the repercussions.
The Queen, according to reports, is not pleased by Harry’s recent outburst.
Last month, Harry likened royal life to “a mix between The Truman Show and being in a zoo” in a podcast interview.
“The Palace has always gone with the never complain, never explain the approach,” Ms English said.
“Can we really expect that to carry on? Surely there will be a tipping point?”
She continued: “The Palace genuinely don’t want to get drawn into a public slanging match with Harry and Meghan.”
The Duke seemed to imply on the Armchair Expert podcast that his father, Prince Charles, and the Queen and Prince Philip had failed as parents.
For the sake of his own children, Harry claimed he wished to “break the cycle” of “genetic pain and suffering.”
“He’s treated me the way he was treated, so how can I change that for my own kids?” he said of Charles.
