A new book says that Meghan Markle “governed by fear” and Prince William believed she was pursuing an agenda.

According to a royal author, the Duke of Cambridge thought the duchess was “following a plan” by “stealing his beloved brother away” while telling royal servants, “It’s not my job to coddle people.”

The Duke of Cambridge is reportedly said to have expressed a desire for Meghan to be “around” him no longer.

Meghan was “following a plan” according to William, who used the term “agenda” to a close friend.

Meghan left Prince William feeling “hurt and betrayed,” according to reports. He allegedly became “ballistic” in response to bullying allegations.

He believed the duchess was “undermining some precious principles of the monarchy”

When the future king learned of the accusations of bullying made by palace employees against Meghan, he was reported to be “very concerned.”

However, when he phoned his younger brother to hash things over, Harry allegedly hung up on him.

“When Harry flared up in furious defense of his wife, the elder brother persisted,” writes Lacey, a historical consultant on Netflix’s The Crown.

“Harry shut off his phone angrily, so William went to speak to him personally.

“The prince was horrified by what he had just been told about Meghan’s alleged behaviour, and he wanted to hear what Harry had to say.

“The showdown between the brothers was fierce and bitter.”

Mr Lacey writes that when bullying accusations against Meghan surfaced, “The prince was horrified by what he had just been told about Meghan’s alleged behaviour, and he wanted to hear what Harry had to say.”

And he adds: “The showdown between the brothers was fierce and bitter.

“Tensions bubbled over when Jason Knauf, who worked in communications for both the Cambridges and the Sussexes, submitted an official email in October 2018 making the bullying allegations.

Meghan vehemently rejects the allegations, and her spokesman says she is the victim of a well-planned smear campaign.

They said: “Let’s just call this what it is — a calculated smear campaign based on misleading and harmful misinformation.

“We are disappointed to see this defamatory portrayal of the Duchess of Sussex given credibility by a media outlet.

“It’s no coincidence that distorted several-year-old accusations aimed at undermining the duchess are being briefed to the British media shortly before she and the duke are due to speak openly and honestly about their experience of recent years.”

The dispute erupted after simmering tensions between William, Kate, and Harry, when Wills reportedly urged his younger brother not to rush into a relationship with Meghan.

When his brother referred to Meghan as “this girl” Harry was allegedly irritated.
