Prince William has dismissed his brother’s allegations that he feels “trapped” by royal life.

He allegedly objected to Prince Harry’s characterization in his explosive Oprah interview.

Friends of the Duke of Cambridge said he did not feel pressured to take on a prominent role in the Royal Family after Prince Harry said his brother was unable to “leave that position, but I have”. According to a source, Prince William is “reeling” as a result of his brother’s “way off the mark” statements. The Duke of Cambridge’s “head is all over the place” according to the insider.

Meanwhile, a close friend of the brothers has stated that William ‘definitely feels the pressure now that it’s all on him – his future looks different because of his brother’s choices. It’s not easy’.

However, according to an in-depth Sunday Times profile of the future King, William intends to be a “robust” ambassador for the Crown when he ascends to the throne.

“He has a path set for him and he’s completely accepting of his role,” the source said. “He is very much his grandmother’s grandson in that respect of duty and service.”

In his only public statements during the interview, William addressed the shocking racism charges made by Meghan and Harry, who claimed a member of the royal family inquired about the color of Archie’s skin when he was born.

When asked if the royals were racist, William responded, “We’re not a racist family.”

According to a close adviser, William’s decision to spend the early years of his marriage away from official duties proved to be a crucial foundation for his future as a senior member of the Royal Family.

‘For years, the battles around privacy and paparazzi intrusion were all-consuming. He wanted to know, could we build them a credible plan allowing them a family life while slowly increasing the profile of official life?

‘It took years to get there, but the success of that plan allowed him to be confident in his role. He’s not worried about his kids’ privacy any more and he has been able to be the kind of dad he wants to be.’

‘The brothers are said to have been in contact since the interview, in which Harry said he hoped to mend the growing rift between the pair’,close friends to William added; ‘Once he got over the anger of how things happened, he was left with the absence of his brother.

‘They shared everything about their lives – an office, a foundation, meetings together most days and there was a lot of fun along the way. He’ll miss it for ever’.

“As I’ve said before, I love William to bits. He’s my brother. We’ve been to hell together. But we’re on different paths.” He added, “The relationship is ‘space’ at the moment. And time heals all things, hopefully,” the Duke of Sussex revealed during the candid interview.
