According to reports, Prince Harry did not seek permission from the Queen to write his autobiography.

The Duke of Sussex announced that he is writing a book on the “highs and lows” of his life as a royal.

According to People, the Duke of Sussex has secretly discussed the book’s release with the royal family. The memoir will contain an account of his experiences, adventures, losses, and life lessons.

Obtaining permission from his grandma was unnecessary, according to the Sussex spokesman.

Buckingham Palace declined to comment, instead saying, “Any clarification about the book would be a question for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.”

“We are more likely to answer questions next year when this memoir is due to be published,” a source told the Telegraph.

According to the publication, a source close to Prince Charles said that they were ‘surprised’ by the news.

It is unclear if Her Majesty will be able to see the final product before it is released in conjunction with her Platinum Jubilee next year.

The book will cover the Duke’s tenure in the royal family, according to a press statement from Prince Harry and Penguin Random House.

“Covering his lifetime in the public eye from childhood to the present day, including his dedication to service, the military duty that twice took him to the frontlines of Afghanistan, and the joy he has found in being a husband and father, Prince Harry will offer an honest and captivating personal portrait, one that shows readers that behind everything they think they know lies an inspiring, courageous, and uplifting human story.”

Random House plans to publish the book, which is currently unnamed, in late 2022. While the publisher did not reveal financial details, it has been claimed that Harry would get at least a $20 million advance for his work and will give the profits to charity.

Harry said in a statement on Monday that he was writing the book “not as the prince I was born but as the man I have become”

“I’ve worn many hats over the years, both literally and figuratively, and my hope is that in telling my story — the highs and lows, the mistakes, the lessons learned — I can help show that no matter where we come from, we have more in common than we think.”

The precise contents of the work are presently unknown, but it may provide significant insight on why he and wife Meghan Markle abruptly left the Firm for a new life in the United States.

However, the statement has raised concerns about more disclosures after his Oprah appearance, in which Meghan accused the Royal Family of racism.

One royal assistant exclaimed, ‘oh gosh!’ in response to the news.

Prince Harry and Meghan revealed their intention to depart England in January 2020, after stepping aside from their top royal responsibilities. They told Oprah Winfrey about their experiences as senior royal family members in a candid interview in March. Among their most serious allegations were that the Palace refused to allow Meghan to get therapy for depression and that a member of the royal family was concerned that their then-unborn baby Archie’s complexion might be too dark.
