Prince William and Prince Charles are reportedly concerned about what Prince Harry may disclose in his forthcoming memoir.

“The royal family is shaken up about the book,” a source exclusively tells Us Weekly, adding that Prince Charles and Prince William are “particularly concerned about what Harry will reveal” after the 36-year-old prince’s recent string of comments, which were already “bad enough.”

A spokesman for the Duke of Sussex revealed to Fox News on Tuesday that the 36-year-old is working on an “intimate and heartfelt memoir.”

According to the official news release:

“In an intimate and heartfelt memoir from one of the most fascinating and influential figures of our time, Prince Harry will share, for the very first time, the definitive account of the experiences, adventures, losses, and life lessons that have helped shaped him. Covering his lifetime in the public eye from childhood to the present day, including his dedication to service, the military duty that twice took him to the frontline of Afghanistan, and the joy he has found in being a husband and father, Prince Harry will offer an honest and captivating personal portrait, one that shows readers that behind everything they think they know lies an inspiring, courageous, and uplifting human story.”

“They haven’t received a copy yet and don’t know what to expect. It’s making them nervous,” the source says.

“This is not something we would comment on,” a spokesman for Buckingham Palace said Fox News in reaction to the book’s announcement.

The Duke of Sussex’s memoir, which will be published by Penguin Random House, is set to be released in late 2022. In a statement released on Monday, July 19, Harry stated, “I’m writing this not as the prince I was born, but as the man I have become.” “I’ve worn many hats over the years, both literally and figuratively, and my hope is that in telling my story — the highs and lows, the mistakes, the lessons learned — I can help show that no matter where we come from, we have more in common than we think.”

“I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to share what I’ve learned over the course of my life so far and excited for people to read a firsthand account of my life that’s accurate and wholly truthful,” Harry said.

According to the publisher, Harry will donate the profits to charity.

The book will not only describe Harry’s life inside the palace gates, but also his life at home with his wife, Meghan Markle, and their two children, Archie, two, and Lili, one month. After the duke and the Suits star, 39, stepped down from their top royal positions in March 2020, the family of four now resides in California.

‘The yet-to-be-titles autobiography will be published globally, with an audiobook version released simultaneously,’ Omid Scobie, the royal biographer for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, tweeted.

Buckingham Palace said earlier this year that the pair will not be returning to their roles as working royals. That announcement comes less than a month before CBS broadcast a long sit-down interview with the couple in which they explained their choice to leave the royal family in their own words.

The Duchess of Sussex admitted to feeling lonely and suicidal in England. Harry also said that his choice to stand down from royal responsibilities and his marriage to the biracial American actress caused friction with his father, Charles.

“[There was] a lack of support and lack of understanding,” Harry said in March. “My biggest concern was history repeating itself, and I’ve said that before on numerous occasions, very publicly. … It was like, ‘I need to do this for my family.’ This is not a surprise to anybody. It’s really sad that it’s gotten to this point, but I’ve got to do something for my own mental health, my wife’s, and for Archie’s, as well, because I could see where this was headed.”
