Meghan was married to Trevor, a producer and talent agent, before becoming a part of the Royal Family.

Meghan Markle’s ex-husband Trevor Engelson felt like “a bit of something stuck to the bottom of her shoe” after their marriage ended suddenly, a pal told a royal biographer.

Trevor Engelson delivered a scathing judgment on his time with the royal-to-be in the aftermath of their divorce.

Meghan worked as an actor before becoming a member of the Royal Family, mostly known for her part in the courtroom drama Suits.

When Meghan went to Canada for her breakout role in the TV legal drama, the pair began to grow apart. The pair began to spend longer amounts of time apart as Trevor remained in Los Angeles.

They had hundreds of miles between them.

They had began dating in 2004, and on September 10, 2011, they married at the Jamaica Inn in Ocho Rios.

Two years later, the couple’s relationship was on the rocks, and Meghan allegedly did something that made Trevor feel like “a piece of something stuck to the bottom of Meghan’s shoe.”

Trevor, his family, and their friends were taken aback when Meghan announced her intention to terminate the relationship.

Trevor was so shocked, according to the 2018 book Meghan: A Hollywood Princess, that he can “barely contain his anger,” even years later.

Meghan allegedly returned her diamond wedding and engagement rings to Trevor in the mail, according to a rich entrepreneur friend.

After hearing about Meghan’s decision, Ninaki Priddy, Meghan’s former closest friend and maid of honour at their wedding, said that she didn’t want to “associate herself” with the Duchess-to-be.

“The way she handled it, Trevor definitely had the rug pulled out from under him. He was hurt,” Ninaki told The Express.

Meghan’s friend Abby Wathan, who worked with her on the film Random Encounters, said in the ITV documentary Prince Harry and Meghan: Truly Madly Deeply  “We both went through a divorce so we bonded over that.

“I was destroyed but she was empowered. She took her power back. It wasn’t the right relationship for her, so she moved on.”

Another person claimed that it was Meghan’s choice and that it had came “totally out of the blue”.

Trevor’s parents, David and Leslie, were reported to have “embraced her like a daughter” and were “genuinely shocked” by the marriage’s abrupt termination, according to one of Meghan’s family members.

Meghan met Harry in 2016 and married him in 2018, and Trevor has successfully moved on as well.

Trevor married Tracey Kurland, a dietician, in 2019.
