Meghan Markle can’t escape the question of whether she’s acquired an excessive sense of entitlement.

A person in charge of organizing Meghan’s visit acknowledged to The Times that it had been tough, saying, “It was a nightmare, she was a nightmare.”

According to rumors, Meghan was not allowed to the Royal Box because she was wearing jeans, but this is not the case.

“She’s not allowed to wear jeans,” one club member claimed, while another added, “She wanted to come incognito but there were problems. They couldn’t invite her into the royal box because she was wearing jeans, but that didn’t really matter because all she wanted to do was come and watch Serena. Andy Murray was on Court 1 afterward and it was a massive faux pas not to watch a Brit when she is signed up to the Royal Family .”

But according to a royal insider, Meghan intended to see friend Serena play on Court One and had no intention of heading to the Royal Box on Centre Court.

Despite the fact that her presence was inherently public, Meghan or her security team felt it would be acceptable to urge individuals in the audience not to photograph her. Wimbledon authorities complained to the Times about her “self-regarding paranoia.”

A spokesman for the organization said: “The AELTC was delighted to welcome HRH The Duchess of Sussex in a private capacity to The Championships to watch her friend Serena Williams compete on No.1 Court.

“The Duchess was greeted by AELTC Chairman Philip Brook at the Players’ Reception on arrival before making her way to No.1 Court, and it was always the intention that the visit would be only for the one match.

“Any suggestion that The Duchess’s visit was anything other than a privilege is categorically not the view of the AELTC and she is always welcome to attend The Championships.”

Denim is often frowned upon in the Wimbledon members’ area, with one member of 30 years stating that Meghan is “not allowed” to wear them.

Sally Jones, 64, a media strategist, claimed the Daily Telegraph that a royal security officer touched her on the shoulder and ordered her not to snap Meghan with her phone. Jones said she had no idea she was seated in the same row as the duchess, and that the officer appeared ashamed to make the request.

Mrs Jones told MailOnline that the Duchess was ‘clearly looking around looking to see who was looking at her,’ and that Harry and Meghan see themselves more as A-list celebrities rather than royals carrying out their duties. It’s control-freakery.’

She added: ‘There were around 200 photographers snapping away at her but security were sent to warn an old biddy like me. It makes them look silly. It’s childish and takes us for fools’.

Sally confessed she informed the royal security officer that banning photographs was “bonkers,” and she claimed he seemed “a little perplexed” as to why he had to implement the order.

However, a royal insider said that blaming Meghan for what occurred was “unfair”

‘It’s not uncommon for personal protection officers accompanying any members of the Royal Family to ask people not to take pictures so they can engage with people and events rather than camera phones,’ a royal insider told MailOnline.
