According to reports, Prince Harry may take Meghan Markle on a “intimate getaway” to celebrate her 40th birthday.

It’s likely he’ll arrange a “intimate getaway,” but the pair isn’t holding a 65-person party at their Montecito home, as Page Six previously claimed.

Meghan, who turns 40 today, was said to have hired renowned celebrity event designer Colin Cowie to organize her birthday bash, but Page Six reports that this is ‘absolutely not happening.’

Instead, the mother-of-two, who just gave birth to daughter Lilibet ‘Lili’ Diana, is said to be planning a ‘low-key’ party in the midst of the escalating Covid-19 crisis in California.

However, royal analysts believe Meghan may choose to commemorate the occasion by releasing a family portrait, given the world is still waiting to meet baby Lilibet. “I think it’s likely we will see a picture of the family,” royal expert Phil Dampier told The Sun. “It wouldn’t surprise me, if Meghan does release a pic of her with Lilibet to mark her 40th birthday, as they’ll want to emphasize what a happy family unit they are,” he said, adding that the royal family would most likely send messages in “private,” given everything that has happened, including her bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey in March.

‘And it will be interesting to see what messages she gets from the royals – I suspect they will post messages, even though in private they are very upset about was has happened,’ he said.

It is unknown what Harry’s specific plans are for his wife.

People close to the pair, however, informed the outlet that there are lots of places nearby where he may take her and their two children.

According to The Mirror, Prince Harry allegedly bought a cake for his wife from Posies & Sugar, a local bakery that produces cakes with a basic semi-naked icing appearance, adorned with flowers.

According to a November 2017 interview with the BBC and CNN, the Sussexes have a plethora of passport stamps from their travels, which stretch all the way back to their claimed third date in Botswana. “I managed to persuade her to come and join me in Botswana. We camped out with each other under the stars … Then we were really by ourselves, which was crucial to me to make sure that we had a chance to get to know each other,” Harry recalled at the time.

Meghan’s milestone comes after a tumultuous year for the Sussexes.

Last year, Meghan celebrated her birthday quietly at home in the midst of the Covid-19 epidemic, only five months after she and Harry abruptly left the Royal Family and relocated to the United States.

The pair has started a new life in the celebrity enclave of Montecito, California, after purchasing a multimillion-pound mansion and establishing a non-profit foundation.
