If Meghan Markle’s baby Lilibet is baptized at Windsor, she may face a “awkward” reunion with the Royal Family, according to a royal expert.

According to reports, Harry and Meghan want their newborn daughter to be baptized in London, with the Queen in attendance.

During his recent trip to the UK, Harry is reported to have informed the royals of his wish.

However, royal analyst Russell Myers has predicted that it will be “definitely awkward” since family tensions are still running “very high.”

‘It will be definitely awkward,’ he said, speaking to Today. ‘Meghan isn’t flavour of the month with the family. Certainly, the family have always said they will be much-loved members of the family.

‘However, we’re still talking about the fallout of the Oprah Winfrey interview, Emmy or no Emmy nomination.

‘The tensions are still running very, very high within the family, indeed.’

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are said to want their newborn daughter to be christened at Windsor like her elder brother Archie, according to various sources.

“Harry told several people that they want to have Lili christened at Windsor, just like her brother,” a royal source told the Daily Mail.

“They are happy to wait until circumstances allow.”

The reunion would follow Harry and Meghan Markle’s dramatic two-hour CBS interview with Oprah Winfrey in March, in which the prince made mention of his relationship with William amid allegations the brothers had feuded over Megxit.

In the tell-all show, the pair made a number of startling charges against the royals, including accusations of racism.

Archie was baptized on July 6th, 2019 at the private chapel at Windsor Castle, although his godparents were not revealed to the public, as is customary in the royal family.

He was christened in a regal christening garment using Jordan River water.

Russell Myers went on to say that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s desire to give Lilibet Diana a royal baptism demonstrates the royal couple’s effort to keep their royal ties.

‘Looking at the details, it looks as though they do want some continuity for their family life,’ he said.

‘Of course, their son Archie was christened at Windsor Castle before they jetted off to set up their new life in the United States.

‘However, when you’re looking at it as well, what do Harry and Meghan have at the moment?

‘They definitely want to keep their royal connection and this will be a sure-fire way to make sure everyone is talking about them in the royal way,’ he said.

The Sussexes left their royal duties in March 2020 to pursue a new life in America, where they have more personal and financial independence.

Last month, Meghan and Harry announced the birth of their daughter Lili in California.
