According to a royal expert, Meghan Markle was devastated when she was not invited to Barack Obama’s 60th birthday party, where she had planned to be a special guest.

The absence of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry at Barack Obama’s 60th birthday party on Saturday has raised a few eyebrows.

According to author Angela Levin of The Sun, the mother of two, who shares an August 4th birthday with the former president, “desperately wanted” to be there.

While the Obamas were obliged to limit visitors to a 475-person headcount because to the Covid-19 epidemic, “Harry and Meghan were never even on the original list,” Levin added.

Hundreds of A-list guests, including George and Amal Clooney, Steven Spielberg, and Jay-Z and Beyonce, attended the party.

Because of recent incidents in the Royal Family, Barack and Michelle Obama allegedly wished to temporarily distance themselves from the pair. They wish to honour Queen Elizabeth II by taking a “step back.” The Obamas are said to be irritated that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been disparaging the royals, especially since they place a high importance on family.

“Michelle cares deeply about family. She and Barack believe parents and grandparents are very precious and you don’t insult them, no matter what they do,” Levin said.

According to observers, the snub might indicate a waning of the Sussexes’ relationship with the Obamas.

Family values are especially important to the Obamas, according to Camilla Tominey, associate editor of the Telegraph who specializes in the Royal Family.

According to a Telegraph story authored by Tominey, Harry’s well-publicized attacks on his royal family soured Obama’s perception of the pair.

“So it arguably will not have gone down particularly well with a couple that have always put ‘family first’ to see Harry and Meghan being so openly critical of their Royal relatives during their Oprah interview in March,” she added.

The Invictus Games brought Obama and the prince closer together, with the former appearing in a promotional film for the project in 2016. Meghan is known to be acquainted with Barack Obama and Michelle Obama.

An source backed Tominey, claiming that Mr. and Mrs. Obama were not fans of press interviews.

“The Obamas didn’t like Harry attacking his family,” they told the publication.

“They value family and certainly aren’t the type of people who would want their children talking to the press.”

In the meantime, the former “Suits” star marked her 40th birthday by launching a global program to encourage women returning to work. She produced a video message called “40×40.” in which she encouraged others to join the cause.

“Because I’m turning 40, I’m asking 40 friends to donate 40 minutes of their time to help mentor a woman who is mobilizing back into the workforce,” she says in the promo footage to actress Melissa McCarthy, who is dressed for a royal party and sipping tea.

“I think if we all do it and all commit 40 minutes to some act of service, we can create a ripple effect.”

In 2009, the Obamas met the Queen for the first time during a G20 summit. In 2011, they paid a three-day formal visit to London, where they were hosted by Her Majesty.
