Piers Morgan wonders if Prince Harry is really happy with Meghan Markle.

Piers Morgan, 56, referred to Meghan Markle as a “social climber” and a “disingenuous self-serving wrecking ball.”

He also wondered whether Harry was really pleased to be a part of the couple’s candid interview with Oprah Winfrey.

“I expected such disingenuous. self-serving wrecking-ball stuff from a social-climbing Hollywood actress like Ms Markle,” Morgan wrote in his Mail on Sunday column, “but for Harry to publicly shred his family and the Monarchy like this, while Prince Philip was seriously ill in hospital, is so out of character for a man who once bravely served his Queen and country in war.”

“He can’t be happy doing this, surely?”

‘It appears that questioning Meghan’s fork-tongued “truth” is now a racist hate crime,’ he noted.

The broadcaster abruptly left Good Morning Britain earlier this month after questioning the Duchess of Sussex’s claims during an interview with Oprah Winfrey.

Piers Morgan’s in-depth analysis of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Oprah interview

In a lengthy essay for the Daily Mail as a commentator, the former Good Morning Britain host has opened up about his departure from the show and what sparked it. He starts with his initial reaction to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Oprah interview, or what he calls ‘a disingenuous self-serving wrecking-ball’. He also explains that he considers Markle’s comments of racism “implausible.”

In his column, Piers Morgan raises concerns about Harry and Meghan Markle’s interview on the following points:

The two had been married in a private ceremony before the public one.

Morgan found it difficult to imagine that the UK’s most senior clergyman was complicit in the wedding, knowingly conducting an illegitimate ceremony in a garden.

Because of his race, Archie is denied the title of Prince.

Morgan claims that racism could not have been the explanation because the Monarch’s great-grandchildren are not given the titles of “Prince” or “Princess” unless they are in direct line to the throne.

The Duchess of Cambridge allegedly made Meghan Markle weep before her wedding.

Morgan, who calls it a “disgraceful betrayal,” seems to believe Kate Middleton is not at fault, particularly because she has not publicly criticized Markle.

Markle’s argument that she was not given assistance when she was suicidal

Morgan makes it clear that his remark, “I’m sorry, I don’t believe a word she says,” was not in response to Markle’s feeling suicidal, but rather to her being barred from seeking assistance. He then goes on to ask why Harry couldn’t have supported her, particularly because he supports a number of mental health charities and has publicly openly stated that he received covert assistance with his own mental health.

Markle’s argument that she had not done any research on Prince Harry’s family on the internet

In his column, Piers Morgan casts doubt on this assertion, citing stories from the actor’s old friends about her obsession with the Royals.
