Meghan and Harry ‘have no regrets’ about interviews but want ‘peace’ with royal family
Following the birth of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s second child, Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, on June 4, the pair is reported to be attempting to maintain harmony with the Firm.
The pair has made a number of incendiary allegations in recent months, but with the birth of their second kid, they are believed to desire peaceful relations.
According to a royal expert, Prince Harry was aware of the effect his and Meghan Markle’s sit-down interview with Oprah Winfrey would have on the royal family.
Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, claims in the last episode of the docuseries The Me You Can’t See that he has “no regrets” about leaving life as a working member of the royal family or how he did so.
He says, “It’s incredibly sad, but I have no regrets at all.”

Despite conflicting accounts about Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor’s name and whether or not the Queen was given the opportunity to allow it, the blue blooded baby’s birth seems to have compelled the Firm to put their differences aside for the time being.
With Meghan, 39, saying that Archie wasn’t declared a prince after “concerns and conversations” about “how dark” his complexion would be when he was born, Harry, 36, and Meghan’s candid interview with Oprah Winfrey sent shockwaves through Buckingham Palace.
In a recent interview with Page Six, royal writer and expert Ingrid Seward claims that Harry understood precisely what he was getting himself into when he consented to the Oprah interview—and that there’s no reason to believe he’s had second thoughts.
Seward said, “He knew what he was doing.”
“I can swear to you that, and he wanted to rock that boat. Quite why, I don’t understand, but he did want to. And then he did, and I don’t think he’s surprised by the repercussions or that he regrets it for a moment.”
In a correspondence to the royal biographer, Harry previously said,
“Making this move was really scary. Did I expect to find ourselves in this situation so quickly? No. I think we’ve done a really good job, and I have no regrets.
“I’m now more comfortable in my own skin. I don’t get panic attacks. I’ve learned more about myself in the last four years than I have in the 32 years before that. I have my wife to thank for that.”
“You know, we’ve got a beautiful little boy, and he keeps us busy, keeps us running around. He makes us laugh every day, which is great. We got two dogs, and then another little baby girl on the way. I never dreamt that.”
The calm comes after a tumultuous time for the royals, in which Harry claimed his father’s upbringing had caused him “pain and suffering,” with a royal insider adding, “It’s no secret that Harry and Meghan have been at war with the royals for the last year.”
“All is not forgiven, but after all the backlash regarding their interviews — which by the way, the pair have no regrets about — they’re trying their utmost to maintain a good relationship with the Queen in order to keep the peace.”
The duke stated that his life is like the movie The Truman Show, and that he feels “more free” now that he resides in Los Angeles.
