Kate Middleton tired of being compared to Meghan Markle

Kate is said to be fed up with people drawing comparisons between her and her sister-in-law, the Duchess of Sussex, and is eager to put a stop to it.

With rumors of a feud between the two ladies circulating shortly after Meghan married Prince Harry, bringing the former actress into the fold was not as simple as everyone had anticipated.

Now that Meghan, Harry, and their baby Archie have moved to the United States, and Kate has shown that she is a “leader in her own right” during lockdown, the mother-of-three is ready to move on and leave the past behind.

Kate has taken the frequent comparisons between her and Meghan on the chin, whether it’s about their dress choices or haircuts. The last straw, though, was a recent Tatler piece, for which the duchess is allegedly suing the magazine.

A source said in the story that when Meghan joined the Royal Family, Kate failed to take her under her wing and ‘show her the ropes,’ and that it was Kate’s blunder that sparked the purported split between the two couples.

‘Kate is keen to stop comparisons between her and Meghan. It’s almost as though they want to draw a line in the sand where it’s gone a bit too far,’ says royal analyst Duncan Larcombe.

It was probably unavoidable that the two women would be judged alongside one another, at least at first – but fast forward a few years, and the collapse of the Cambridges’ and Sussexes’ relationship has led to reports that Kate would like such ties to cease.

‘We know William and Kate are very sensitive about comparisons with Meghan. The narrative of
that falling-out between Kate and William
and Harry and Meghan touches a nerve,’ Duncan says.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge recently celebrated their tenth wedding anniversary, and according to a body language expert, they now seem more united than ever.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been seen out and about this week at various events, including the Wimbledon women’s singles final on Saturday and the Euros 2020 final last night, appearing comfortable as they talked and laughed in the royal box.

Judi James, a body language specialist, believes their weekend actions demonstrated the depth of their connection and “raises it to a whole new level”

In one photo, William and Kate are seen laughing and sharing a joke, with Kate tilting her head back in delight.

“The shared joke is obvious here but it’s Kate’s ‘overkill’ response that suggests she is using the laughter to perform some industrial-strength flirt signals,” Judi told Fabulous.

“Kate’s response to William’s joke is to throw her head right back to laugh. This exaggerated response of what looks like out of control laughter is a hugely flattering gesture to the person telling the joke.”

Meanwhile, William can be seen in another photo cheering the players on the court while obviously gazing at his wife.

“His hands might be clapping the players but his eye-attention is fixed firmly on his wife here with his head turned fully in her direction and the angle of his shoulders signalling a desire for proximity,” Judi said.

The couple’s visit at Wimbledon occurred a day before they joined Prince George at Wembley for the Euro 2020 final between England and Italy.

During the stressful match, royal fans witnessed a beautiful moment between Prince George and his mother, the Duchess of Cambridge, and they couldn’t have been happier.

Following England’s two-minute goal, the child was seen on video giving his mother and father, Prince William, a huge embrace, a rare show of love that delighted royal observers.

However, when Italy equalized and England went on to lose a penalty shoot-out, the young prince looked distraught and summed up the national sentiment as the Three Lions failed at the final hurdle.
