Emmy bosses line up Meghan Markle and Prince Harry to present Emmy Award
Emmy organizers are allegedly attempting to get Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to attend next month’s gala and perhaps give an award.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expected to attend the event in Los Angeles, where Oprah Winfrey is nominated for her explosive interview with the pair.
“The Sussexes are in high demand – it would be their first red carpet appearance since Megxit and their full-time Californian move,” a source in Los Angeles told the publication. “Oprah is planning to attend the night, which could help get them there.”
One publication highlighted that it was unclear whether the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who are now permanently living in California, had accepted invitations to attend the Sept. 19 event.
All visitors must provide evidence of vaccination.

Meghan’s father, Thomas Markle Snr, was a former lighting director who won two Daytime Emmy Awards for his work on the serial drama General Hospital.
Harry, 36, and Meghan, who turned 40 on Wednesday, were not nominated for the interview in which they accused the Royal Family of prejudice.
Markle met her royal husband-to-be while working as an actor on the TV show “Suits.” She gave birth to the couple’s second child, Lilibet, in June.
A children’s book written by Meghan, an Apple TV show with Oprah, and a book contract for Harry, who said he is writing a memoir that will be a “accurate and wholly truthful” account of his life are among their other initiatives.
The couple and the award’s organizers have yet to officially respond to the claims.
In addition to the awards event, the pair will “certainly” receive a “VIP invite” to subsequent celebrations hosted by Netflix, the streaming service with which they inked one of their many recent big-money deals.
“Certainly, there would be a VIP invite for them from Netflix at its evening celebration event.
“Netflix knows that shots of them with big Hollywood names would be huge PR,” the source added.
The Netflix show about the Royal Family, The Crown has 24 Emmy nominations.
Cedric the Entertainer will host the 2021 Emmy Awards at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
